With the type of past few weeks that I’ve had, I’ve really had to manage my time and understand what’s priority and what isn’t.
Here are some of the tips that helped me make the most of my time.
✨Choose only one big task for the day . For example, you can create content today, design it tomorrow and schedule the day after.
✨Allocate time for each client work so no client suffers. Each client deserves the best because they’re paying for your time.
✨Multitasking is not fancy. Give your all to one task at a time. Doing too much at the same time equals doing nothing at all. Studies have shown that your IQ drops and your stress hormones increase when multitasking.
✨Hide your phone or turn off notifications. I noticed that with every notification and mail, I felt the urge to reply immediately and that took too much of my time
✨Track your time so you can allocate how long each task takes for payment purposes and future references. I currently use Clockify for that.
✨Set boundaries: Know when to say no and when to compromise. Not every impromptu meeting or phone call should be attended to.
Also as a last note, 24 hours can not be enough, we can only try. 😪
Got any other time management gems, drop them in the comments.
