Day 1 of the International Symposium “From Legacy to Innovation: Preserving Agricultural Heritage for the Future”, organized by the Society of Extension Educationists under the Institute of Agricultural Extension, Education & Rural Development (IAEERD), University of Agriculture Faisalabad, marked a remarkable start filled with academic collaboration, cultural exchange, and intellectual engagement.
The symposium brought together renowned international scholars, diplomats, researchers, cultural experts, and policy leaders to highlight the importance of preserving agricultural heritage while embracing innovation for future generations.
We were honored to host distinguished guests and speakers including Dr. Paul Whitney (Vice President International Programs, Washington State University, USA), Dr. Asif J. Chaudhry (Former US Ambassador to Moldova & Former VP International Programs, Washington State University, USA), Prof. Dr. Kulvinder Gill (Washington State University, USA), Dr. M. Ejaz Qureshi (Australian National University, Australia), Dr. S.M. Chinthaka Karaliyadda (Rajarata University of Sri Lanka), Prof. Pervaiz Vandal (Managing Director THAAP & Founder Pro-Vice Chancellor, Institute for Art & Culture Lahore), and Ms. Sadia Zainab Khan (Museum Designer & Founder/Principal DLI), along with senior leadership and representatives from PHEC, academia, and the agricultural sector.
