Their:

• Google Business Profile
• Website
• Treatment pages
• Doctor profiles
• Reviews
• Location information
• External mentions

exist — but don't consistently reinforce the same medical entity.

Google itself says local results are primarily influenced by relevance, distance and prominence, and that Business Profile information can be combined with information from the clinic's website and other sources.

So I don't look at a dermatology clinic's SEO as a collection of isolated assets.

I look at the relationship between them.

For example:

Adult Acne
↓
Acne Treatment
↓
Dermatologist / Expertise
↓
Dermatology Practice
↓
City / Location
↓
Google Search + Maps

The strategic shift:

Don't just optimize for the keyword.
Build enough clarity around the practice for search systems to understand the context.

That matters even more as Search becomes increasingly conversational and AI-assisted.

The future of Dermatology SEO isn't more keywords.

It's better search understanding.

Your dermatology clinic can have a strong website and still be invisible when a high-intent patient searches Google.

The problem is often not “more keywords.”

It is search relevance.

A patient searching:

“acne dermatologist near me”

is not simply looking for a website containing the words acne and dermatologist.

Google has to understand the relationship between:

Patient intent → Treatment → Dermatologist → Clinic → Location

And that relationship needs to be clear across your website and local presence.

Here are 3 things I would check first:

1. Treatment relevance

Does your website clearly explain the specific treatment or condition the patient is searching for?

A generic “Services” page may not provide the same clarity as properly structured treatment pages.

2. Local relevance

Does Google clearly understand:

Where your clinic is located?
Which areas you serve?
What treatments you provide?
Which dermatologist provides them?

Your Google Business Profile is important — but it is only one part of the local-search ecosystem.

3. Search intent alignment

A patient searching:

“acne treatment dermatologist Miami”

has a different intent from someone searching:

“dermatologist near me.”

Your website architecture, treatment pages, local signals and medical entity information should support those different intents naturally.

The mistake I see too often:

Clinics keep adding keywords…

when the real problem is that Google doesn't have a clear picture of the practice.

That's where I start an SEO review.

Not with:

“How many keywords can we add?”

But with:

“What does Google need to understand about this clinic to connect it with the right patient search?”

That distinction matters.

If you own a dermatology practice in the USA, I can review the fundamentals of your Dermatology SEO + Google Maps + Local SEO visibility and identify the areas I would investigate first.

Comment AUDIT

I'll show you what I would check first in a dermatology clinic's search visibility.

This is where I approach Dermatology SEO differently.

I don't look at SEO as:

Keywords → Rankings

I look at it as:

Patient Intent → Treatment → Dermatologist → Practice → Location → Search/Maps

Every important element should reinforce the next one.

Because when a patient searches:

“acne dermatologist near me”

the real question isn't simply:

“Does this website contain the words acne dermatologist?”

The better question is:

“Does the entire practice's digital presence clearly establish this relationship?”

That is the kind of SEO thinking I focus on.

Not adding keywords for the sake of adding keywords.

Not chasing rankings in isolation.

Building search clarity around the actual medical practice.

For dermatology clinics, this becomes especially important because treatment relevance, medical expertise, location and local visibility all need to work together.

My rule:

Don't optimize isolated pages.
Build a connected search entity around the practice.

That is how I approach Dermatology SEO at Irfan Mangol × MangolTech.

One of the first things I look for in a dermatology SEO audit isn’t the keyword ranking.

I look at whether Google can clearly understand what the practice does, who provides it, and where it is located.

That distinction matters.

A dermatology clinic may have:

• A well-designed website
• A Google Business Profile
• Treatment pages
• Good reviews
• A strong dermatologist bio

And still have a weak local-search presence.

Why?

Because these assets can exist independently without creating a clear search relationship.

For example:

A clinic offers acne treatment.

But the website talks broadly about:

“Dermatology Services”

The treatment information is buried inside a generic services page.

The dermatologist's expertise isn't clearly connected to acne.

The location signals are weak or inconsistent.

The Google Business Profile doesn't reinforce the same treatment relevance.

From a patient's perspective, the clinic offers acne care.

But from a search-engine perspective, the relationship may not be clearly structured.

My rule:

Don't optimize isolated pages.
Build a connected search entity around the practice.

That is how I approach Dermatology SEO at Irfan Mangol × MangolTech.

𝐖ʜʏ 𝐎ɴᴇ “𝐒ᴇʀᴠɪᴄᴇ𝐬” 𝐏ᴀɢᴇ 𝐈𝐬 𝐍ᴏᴛ 𝐄ɴᴏᴜɢʜ ꜰᴏʀ ᴀ 𝐃ᴇʀᴍᴀᴛᴏʟᴏɢʏ 𝐂ʟɪɴɪᴄ

A treatment page should NOT simply repeat the treatment name 30 times.

It should answer the patient's actual questions.

For example, an acne page could address:

Who is acne treatment for?
What types of acne does the dermatologist treat?
When should someone see a dermatologist?
What treatment options may be considered?
Who provides the treatment?
Where is the clinic located?
How can a patient schedule a consultation?

That creates a much clearer connection between:

Patient Intent → Treatment → Dermatologist → Clinic → Location → Action

And that connection matters across your broader search presence — including your website, local signals and Google Maps visibility.

One mistake to avoid

Don't create dozens of thin pages simply because you found dozens of keywords.

A page should exist because it serves a meaningful patient intent — not because a keyword tool produced another variation.

Quick audit checklist

Look at your dermatology website today:

☐ Does every important treatment have an appropriate destination page?

☐ Does each page satisfy a distinct patient intent?

☐ Is the dermatologist/expertise clearly connected to the treatment?

☐ Is the clinic's location clear?

☐ Does the page provide genuinely useful medical information?

☐ Does your Google Business Profile accurately represent the practice and its services?

☐ Are your important treatment pages internally connected to relevant local and practice information?

Expert takeaway

Don't build a dermatology website around a list of keywords.

Build it around the way patients actually search for conditions, treatments, medical expertise and local care.

That's how I approach Dermatology SEO:

Make the relationship between the patient, treatment, dermatologist, clinic and location unmistakably clear.

𝐖ʜʏ 𝐎ɴᴇ “𝐒ᴇʀᴠɪᴄᴇ𝐬” 𝐏ᴀɢᴇ 𝐈𝐬 𝐍ᴏᴛ 𝐄ɴᴏᴜɢʜ ꜰᴏʀ ᴀ 𝐃ᴇʀᴍᴀᴛᴏʟᴏɢʏ 𝐂ʟɪɴɪᴄ

Your dermatology clinic can offer 20 treatments — but that does NOT mean one “Services” page can rank for all 20.

This is one of the most common structural problems I see when looking at healthcare websites.

The misconception

Many clinics think:

“We offer acne treatment, Botox, laser treatments, skin cancer care and several other services. We can simply list them all on one page.”

Technically, you can.

Strategically, that can make it much harder for Google to understand which page is the best answer for each patient search.

What is actually happening?

A patient searching:

“Acne dermatologist near me”

has a different intent from someone searching:

“Botox dermatologist near me”

And that's different again from:

“Mohs surgery dermatologist near me.”

The treatment, patient need, medical expertise and local relevance are not identical.

Your website should make those relationships clear.

A better structure

Instead of:

Services

→ Acne
→ Botox
→ Laser
→ Skin Cancer
→ Rosacea
→ Chemical Peels
→ Fillers

Consider building dedicated, medically useful treatment pages where appropriate:

/acne-treatment/

/botox/

/laser-treatments/

/skin-cancer-treatment/

/rosacea-treatment/

Each page can then clearly establish:

What treatment/problem is being addressed
Who provides the treatment
What the patient should know
Where the clinic is located
What makes the practice relevant
How the patient can take the next step
Here's the important part:

That's how I approach Dermatology SEO:

Make the relationship between the patient, treatment, dermatologist, clinic and location unmistakably clear.
