📢 Instagram is currently testing a new feature called "Memories prompts" to encourage users to revisit old photos and posts and increase user engagement on the platform. This feature is similar to the "On This Day" feature on Facebook, which reminds users of their memories from previous years.

👉 The Memories prompts feature will reportedly appear on the user's home screen, where they will be shown old photos and posts from the same date in previous years. Instagram will also suggest users share these memories as stories or posts.

This feature encourages users to engage more with the platform by revisiting their old content, sharing it with their friends, and creating new content based on these old memories🤝🤝. By increasing user engagement, Instagram hopes to keep its users more active on the platform and keep them from switching to other social media apps🚀🚀.
