TiKA in Pakistan empowers women in Gilgit-Baltistan!

Under TiKA in Pakistan's Beekeeping Capacity Building Program, 30 women beneficiaries have received practical training in beekeeping techniques along with starter equipment grants to begin their own beekeeping enterprises.

By promoting beekeeping as a sustainable and locally viable livelihood option, the initiative aims to diversify household income sources, strengthen economic resilience, and create new opportunities for women to participate in and benefit from local economic development.

Exciting news, customers can now invest in government-backed T-Bills from as little as Rs. 5,000 through a fully digital experience on the JazzCash app!

JazzCash, in collaboration with Microfinance Bank Limited , the Ministry of Finance, Government of Pakistan and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), has launched Government of Pakistan Treasury Bills on the JazzCash app.

The product was launched at JazzCash headquarters in Islamabad by Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, in the presence of Khurram Schehzad, Adviser to the Finance Minister; Omer Khan Adviser on Debt Management; Kaan Terzioglu, Group CEO VEON, who joined virtually; Aamir Ibrahim, Chairman JazzCash and Mobilink Bank, Murtaza Ali, CEO JazzCash and Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, CEO Mobilink Bank.

⚖️ Pakistan partners with Federal Judicial Academy, Islamabad, KP Bar Council, Balochistan Bar Council and Islamabad Bar Council to host the Women Lawyers Conference in Islamabad under the Deliver Justice Project funded by European Union in Pakistan

Over 75 women lawyers gathered to discuss the growing challenge of Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence ( ) and the critical role of justice institutions in building safer, survivor-centered systems in the digital age.

Participants also explored Gender-Based Violence Courts in Swat, Peshawar, and Quetta through an immersive VR experience, showcasing the impact of the EU-funded project.

Through a combination of mentor-led sessions, practical assignments, and real-world challenges, participants will engage in a structured learning experience that blends skill-building with application. Along the way, they will collaborate with peers, gain exposure to industry perspectives, and begin shaping a professional journey aligned with their goals.

Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded:
✅ A completion certificate
✅ An experience letter, formal recognition of the learning, engagement, and practical experience gained during the program

Pakistan organized a consultation workshop focused on the "Development of SOPs for Dissemination of Early Warning & Impact-Based Forecasting (IBF) Capacity Needs." From analysing climate data to mapping institutional roles, the workshop aims to create a clear, actionable roadmap to protect vulnerable infrastructure and lives in District Shangla, Swat.

Funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and implemented by Food Programme and Cesvi Pakistan, this milestone event brought together district authorities and technical experts to design robust Early Warning & Impact-Based Forecasting (IBF) frameworks for District Shangla.

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (Ministry of Climate Change, Govt of Pakistan ) has secured an allocation of Rs2.478 billion under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year 2026-27.

The allocation will support four ongoing projects aimed at , green , urban and strengthening institutional capacity for climate action, according to a statement issued by the ministry.

A significant share of the allocation, Rs2.335bn, has been earmarked for the flagship Up-scaling of , which focuses on large-scale afforestation, biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration and the restoration of natural ecosystems.
