As a / , I extend my congratulations to all the multitasking businesswomen attending the 13-week session with Dream Builder. We recently concluded the first session of the Academy For Women Entrepreneurs at LRL Lincoln Corner Islamabad, hosted by the US Embassy/American Center. At the end of the 13 weeks, seed funding opportunities will be announced for these participants to pitch their business ideas. Here's to empowering women in business!

یہ بھی ایک مسئلہ ہے جس پر ہمیں غورو فکر کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ ہمارے معاشرے میں خواتین کو ترقی کی طرف گامزن کرنے کے لئے انہیں تعلیم، صحت اور اکنامک ایمپاورمنٹ دینا ان پر احسان نہیں ہے یہ انکا حق ہے۔ جب ہم عورتوں کو گھریلو تشدد کے حوالے سے آگاہ کرتے ہیں اور وہ اپنے گھر سے بچے لے کر نکل آتی ہے تو حکومت اور سول سوسائٹی کو چایئے کہ ان کے لئے محفوظ پناہ گاہیں بنائیں تاکہ وہ وہاں محفوظ اور سکون سے رہ سکیں جب تک انکا کیس عدالت میں جاری رہتا ہے۔

مجھے علم ہے کہ حکومتی سطح پر ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی جانب سے #عورتوں کے لئے #دارلآمان یعنی پناہ گاہیں کام کر رہی ہیں جوایک اچھا عمل ہے مگر یہ کافی نہیں ہیں۔ بڑھتے ہوئے گھریلو تشدد کے رجحان کے اعدادو شمار کو سامنے رکھتے ہوئے مزید پناہ گاہ #سنٹرز یعنی ویمن شلٹر ہومز بنانے کی اشد ضرورت ہے۔ نوجوانوں کے لئے ترتیب دیئے گئے ایک پروگرام میں میرا نقطہ نظر جو میں نے اس تقریب کے حوالے سے پیش کیا۔
