Job Purpose:
Merchant Accounts Manager will craft in-demand marketing campaigns for our consumers by partnering with local businesses, which in turn help increase and calibrate customer traffic for our merchants.
Core Responsibilities:
• Research, identify, and engage local merchants on the benefits of running IBEX Ecommerce Division campaigns and subsequently close contracts with top businesses.
• Identifying business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
• Call new merchant partners across a spectrum of categories including food and drink, health and beauty, leisure and so on.
• Bring merchants on board by negotiating the terms of agreement, establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
• Maintaining relationships with Merchants by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities for; recommending profit and service improvements for Merchants.
• Develop familiarity with each merchant’s business, including but not limited to: products and/or services, consumer demographics and ratings, points of competitive differentiation, merchant economic model, and revenue and profit drivers.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; bench marking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
• Utilize knowledge of deal structure and strategy in order to reach merchants’ desired outcomes and maximize profit.
• Drive market growth for both merchant quality and revenue opportunity.
• Management of regional operations team.
Key Requirements
• Experience in generating new business in a B2B sales organization
• Experience in selling over the phone and cold calling various types of businesses; local merchants a plus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A balance of coach-ability and confidence to excel in the sales career
•Strong negotiation and consultation skills
• Well equipped with local knowledge about business and demographics
• An interest in technical products and markets
• Own a car with a valid Driving License, since this job requires travelling (all expenses will be paid by the company).
