کراچی: کراچی ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی (KDA) نے نارتھ کراچی میں 8 ارب روپے سے زائد مالیت کی اراضی پر مبینہ غیرقانونی قبضے کا انکشاف کیا ہے۔
سیکٹرز 5/A-1، 5/A-2، 5/A-3 اور 5/A-4 سمیت مَدیحہ اسٹاپ کے اطراف سروے کے دوران 350 سے زائد دکانیں، مکانات اور دیگر تعمیرات کی نشاندہی کی گئی، جن میں سے کئی گزشتہ دو دہائیوں سے قائم ہیں۔
کے ڈی اے نے قابضین کو تین روز کی مہلت دیتے ہوئے اصل ملکیتی اور قانونی دستاویزات پیش کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔ حکام کے مطابق قانونی حیثیت ثابت نہ ہونے کی صورت میں غیرقانونی تعمیرات کے خلاف کارروائی اور ممکنہ مسماری کی جائے گی۔
تاہم اس پیش رفت نے ایک اہم سوال بھی اٹھا دیا ہے کہ اگر یہ اراضی غیرقانونی طور پر قبضے میں تھی تو دو دہائیوں سے دکانیں، مکانات اور مارکیٹیں قائم ہونے کے دوران متعلقہ ادارے کی نگرانی کہاں تھی؟
Karachi Development Authority (KDA) has identified more than Rs8 billion worth of land allegedly under illegal occupation in North Karachi.
According to the KDA, a survey identified over 350 shops, residential houses and other structures built on its land across Sectors 5/A-1, 5/A-2, 5/A-3 and 5/A-4, including areas around Madeehah Stop.
Many of the structures have reportedly been operating for more than two decades.
The KDA has given occupants three days to produce original ownership and legal documents to establish their claims. Those unable to prove legal ownership could face enforcement action and demolition.
The development has also raised questions over how such structures were allowed to remain and expand on the land for more than 20 years if the occupation was illegal.
