"There are no words to express the emotions linked with the barbaric APS incident. Grief, sorrow, terror, depression, horror, chaos and insecurity. The sad reality is that a whole year passed and situations depicting these words still prevail. This anniversary is a reminder of our weak so-called democratic government and makes you believe that to the rulers; maybe human lives are not as precious as the expensive buildings, roads and infrastructure they are spending on. As a Pakistani, I feel army is left for everything. Security, Management, Health, Education. As people, we must be wise with our decisions and vote for power that deserves it. It is a reminder to play our role as a responsible citizen and actually mean it when we say 'never forget'. We never forgot the APS citizen in our words and on our social media. But the question is, did we forget otherwise in our daily life? Yes we did lose humanity somewhere. We lost empathy somewhere. At the same time, we as a nation are amazing how we survive, despite the odds. Because somewhere, we still have some hope and faith left." - Zoya Ishaq
