Social Club 24 is looking for a talented and experienced video editor to join our busy production team. As a lead video editor, you are responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating a finished broadcast project that accurately reflects the production manager's vision.
Being a successful video editor requires a deep knowledge of the latest video editing techniques, visualizing the director's concept, and working on a tight schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch video editor can perfectly translate a director's idea into a beautiful, broadcast-worthy film or video production.
Video editor responsibilities:
Review the raw footage to determine the shot list. Editing of film and video material using the latest editing techniques.
Maintain continuity when moving shots according to scene values. Cut your footage and put together a rough project.
Insert dialogue, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects. Make sure your projects follow a logical order.
Consultation with the director and production team throughout the project. We are making the final cut for the broadcast.
Video editor requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field. - Experience as a video editor.
- Hands-on experience with editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, and Premier.
- Creative and artistic skills.
- Familiarity with 3D compositing and special effects.
- Portfolio of completed films.
- Ability to work on a tight schedule.
- Ability to turn an idea into a complete project.
