Baba Guru Nanak University Nankana Sahib (BGNU) conducted the Internal Evaluation for the Punjab Youth Innovation and Incubation Competition 2026, on 27 July 2026, providing a platform for students to present innovative ideas with the potential to address contemporary challenges through entrepreneurship and technological innovation.

A total of 44 innovative projects from various academic disciplines were presented before the evaluation committee. Following a comprehensive assessment based on innovation, feasibility, and potential impact, three projects were shortlisted for submission to the provincial-level competition.

The Internal Evaluation Committee comprised Prof. Dr. Azhar Rasul, Director ORIC; Dr. Sumaira Naeem, Incharge, Department of Chemistry; Dr. Muhammad Yasir Saeed, Assistant Professor, Department of Business Administration; Nabeel Akram, Software Engineer; Ali Raza, Assistant Director ORIC; and Rizwan Bashir, Assistant Treasurer, who evaluated the projects and selected the most promising proposals.

The activity reflects BGNU's continued commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and research-driven problem-solving by encouraging students to transform creative ideas into impactful and sustainable solutions.
