Provincial Education Minister Distributes Scholarship Cheques Among 186 District Toppers
Quetta, 18 September 2026: Provincial Minister for Education, Madam Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani, distributed scholarship cheques worth Rs. 300,000 each among 186 district toppers of F.A. and F.Sc. examinations from 31 districts of Balochistan under the Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto District Toppers Scholarship Programme.
The cheque distribution ceremony was held at Government Girls Degree College, Jinnah Town, Quetta, and was attended by senior officials of the Colleges Directorate, including Director Colleges Prof. Hussain Baloch, Joint Director Colleges Prof. Sayeeda Naz, Additional Director Prof. Zeba Kamal, and Scholarship Officer Qaiser Ali Baloch.
Addressing the ceremony, Provincial Minister Madam Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani congratulated the scholarship recipients on their outstanding academic achievements. She said that talented students demonstrating exceptional educational performance across Balochistan represent the future of the province and deserve recognition, encouragement, and opportunities to pursue higher education.
The Minister reaffirmed the Government of Balochistan's commitment to supporting deserving and high-achieving students and stated that every possible effort would be made to facilitate talented young people in continuing their education and realizing their academic potential.
She further emphasized that merit-based scholarships play an important role in recognizing academic excellence, motivating students, and enabling deserving youth from across the province to pursue higher education.
Senior officials of the Education Department, principals of various colleges, professors, parents, and scholarship recipients attended the ceremony.
