I just saw a job worth $40,000.
Sounds exciting, right?

But look deeper…

⤷ 0% hiring rate
⤷ No interviews started

→ And still… 20–50 freelancers applied.

Why?

Because many think:
“Big Budget = Big Opportunity”

But the reality is the opposite.

You’re not getting a client. You’re just giving them visibility.

→ No replies. No interviews. No hiring signal.

⚠️ That’s not an opportunity… that’s a trap.

Here’s the ground reality:
When you apply without understanding client psychology you don’t just waste connects…you hurt your profile.

→ Every ignored proposal = Negative Signal

And then freelancers say:

Today is Sunday!
Normally, it should’ve been a rest day… but I just finished editing a video.

2–3 days of work for one 8–10 minute video. Research, scripting, editing, refining… all to deliver something meaningful.

And then you hear things like:

“Your work is easy, you just sit on a laptop 🥹
“Your videos don’t even get views.”

That’s where it hits...!

Right now, there are two types of Content Creators.

One chasing quick viral with trends and low-effort content, dancing, Immoral content.

The other investing time, energy, and consistency to create real value.

And yes, sometimes it feels unfair🥹

Still, I believe this:
• Content creation builds real skills
• It improves communication and confidence
• It teaches editing, design, and SEO
• And most importantly, it builds patience

So instead of complaining… I’ll keep creating.
Because in the long run, value always wins.

300+ Upwork Freelancers voted and most had no idea what wrong!

I recently ran a poll on Social Media including LinkedIn:

👉 Where are you losing opportunities on Upwork?

→ Options were simple

🟢 Weak proposals
🟢 Unclear niche
🟢 Poor profile setup
🟢 Even I don’t know

More than 300 freelancers voted.

And the majority chose…
“Even I don’t know.”

That’s the real problem.

It’s not just about proposals or profiles
It’s the lack of clarity

→Freelancers don’t know
→If the issue is in their profile
→Their positioning
→Their client finding
→Or even their communication

And that’s dangerous

Because when you don’t know the problem
You can’t fix it

Here’s what I always recommend:

👉 Stop seeing yourself as a freelancer
Start seeing yourself as a client

Open your own profile
Read it like a client
Ask yourself honestly

“Would I hire this person?”

I review profiles daily & when I point out mistakes, freelancers agree instantly

But here’s the question…

If you can see the mistake after I point it out
Why didn’t you fix it before?

✅ Upwork is not against you Your strategy might be!

If you don’t know where the gaps are
You’ll keep on the wrong approach
