Fibroids and endometrial polyps remain among the most common gynaecological conditions in Pakistan, presenting as heavy bleeding, anemia and subfertility. Too many of these women are still offered a hysterectomy or an open myomectomy, procedures far larger than the pathology demands. The gap is not clinical judgement. It is access to hysteroscopic equipment and to surgeons trained to use it. That gap is what the Hysteroscopy Masterclass at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar لیڈی ریڈنگ ہسپتال addressed in LRHCON 2026.
Prof. Dr. Shazia Fakhar, Head of the Department, Shifa International Hospitals Limited performed live MyoSure cases before a room of OBGYN consultants and trainees. A fibroid resected with MyoSure XL, a polyp removed with MyoSure LITE. Both completed successfully, each step discussed as it happened.
MyoSure works entirely through the cervix. No incision, no electrosurgical energy inside the cavity. Tissue is cut and aspirated under direct vision, leaving the uterus intact. Most patients go home the same day. For women who still wish to conceive, that is the whole point.
We at Global Marketing Services, brought this technology into Pakistan with our channel partner Hologic, and continues to support the training that makes it usable rather than simply available. With only 15 seats, every participant operated rather than observed.
