The Fiat brand has left a distinct mark on several generations of Poles, forever entrenching itself in their hearts with models that are as equally inseparable from Polish reality as bigos or pierogi. It’s all about the “Maluch” (“Toddler”) and the “Duży” (“Big”) Fiat (the Fiat 126 and 125 respectively). Although they are the cause of extremely mixed feelings among their former (and the few present) owners, they meet with absolutely no indifference.

Breaking off with the rich, though peculiar, traditions of factories in Tychy or Bielsko-Biała, Fiat Auto Poland decided to refresh the brand’s image among Polish citizens, launching the “Test the Fiat” project which took place in over twenty cities throughout Poland. Taking into account the integration that takes place on the international automotive market, the project featured (apart from the Fiat 500, Sedici, Linea, Punto Evo or Bravo) the Alfa Romeo sports cars – Mito and Giulietta. Additionally, the project presented offers of brands that are in the Fiat Group, like Abarth, Jeep or Lancia, which leaves no doubt about breaking off with the grey past.

Specially for the project, in the charming outdoor scenery offered by Polish landscapes, every city had a promotional area built. An undoubted ornament of such an area was a mutlimedia FDomes Event dome tent. Inside the tent one could admire the models that added splendour to the 90th anniversary of Fiat’s presence in Poland – the Fiat 508 Balilla Spider and the Fiat 1800 – which constituted an integral part of the exhibition presenting the history of the Fiat Group.

Many Poles fondly recall their first holiday trips which were taken in none other than a Fiat car, although establishing a relationship similar to the one between a “Maluch” user and his automobile is barely repeatable. The Fiat brand definitely does everything it can to convince potential users that “old love dies hard (just like a “Maluch”).”

A new addition to the picturesque gardens of the residence of Prince of Wales - the FDomes event 75 dome tent showcasing the Eurostar company.

In central London, in the unique gardens of the residence of the Prince of Wales, there was a two-week event taking place – the Garden Party to Make a Difference. Over a hundred displays and exhibitions, as well as many artists and experts on ecology, showed the visitors how to live in harmony with nature.

We provided the FDomes Event 75 dome tent for Eurostar, a company that runs fast railway transportation between the UK and France. The geodome, situated in front of Marlborough House, held short theatre plays, specially arranged for this particular event.

The main idea behind Eurostar’s presence at the Start UK event was to present them as the leading brand in ecological, short-distance travel to Europe, and building up a larger brand awareness among the event’s visitors.

The FDomes Event 75 geodesic dome was equipped with partition walls covered with representations of Eurostar routes, an enormous LED display, a stage and audience seats, and a series of computers where visitors could get to know the offer and book tickets.

The F75 sphere tent was equipped with a membrane with a full-colour Eurostar brand print, and thanks to the use of an OPAK membrane, the interior of the spherical structure was dimmed. That allowed for watching presentations in daytime and proper light-play during theatre performances.

Over 8.000 people visited the innovative tent, including the Prince of Wales himself and his wife, and our client considered the event itself a big success in establishing an appropriate image for the Eurostar brand.

We provided a number of event domes for the Polish beer brand L**H for their series of events in the most popular tourist destinations along the Polish seaside.

The beautiful Polish Baltic coast, the waves lazily crashing on the golden sandy beach, everything bathed in sunlight, and on the shore: two impressive geodesic event domes F150 spherical tents towering over the tourists. Welcome to the Cold L**H Zone!

Łeba, Darłowo, Ustka, Jastarnia and Władysławowo are well-known towns and gems of Polish seaside tourism. This time, however, they stood out with something more than just fish and chips on a paper tray or the famous waffles with whipped cream. L**H tents offered new quality of sunbathing and, as they said, “the exceptional place and people drew the tourists into the world of refreshment in the middle of the summer.” Volleyball, skimboarding, a one of a kind snow fight at the beach, surfing on the “wave of excitement” or simply just lying in the shade offered by the spherical tent (apart from the shade it also offered beer) definitely adds variety to dull “roasting on the beach.” Traditional cries of beach-marketing whizzes were replaced by summer music trickling from the speakers. Everyone who’s decided to have a holiday at that time couldn’t complain about lack of attractions.

Innovative structures delivered by us for L**H, fully air-conditioned (which is note-worthy), allowed continuing the party even after sunset. In the evenings from Thursday to Saturday “the power of refreshing sound” was provided by dance music stars and the most tenacious regulars didn’t leave the beach even once during the weekend.

The beautiful Polish Baltic, the waves lazily crashing on the golden sandy beach, a fiery red sunrise and on the shore: two impressive geodesic event domes from which both L**H beer and club music are trickling. Ibiza has never been so close.

“Look at Silesia” – an event under such a title (that also seemed to be the idea behind the entire endeavour), being the climax of a wider advertising campaign of the Silesian Voivodeship abroad and taking place in Germany’s Düsseldorf, was virtually constructed completely around dome halls delivered by FDomes Event.

Five spherical tents set up on Markplatz in the heart of Düsseldorf’s old town and proudly representing such Silesian attractions as “Industrial Monuments Route” or Polish Jura, thanks to their innovative structures and shapes, allowed to break off from the somewhat archaic image of the region both in the country and Europe.

The shape of geodesic domes was enough to arouse interest of both the residents and the tourists visiting Düsseldorf for long enough to encourage them to check what’s inside. Luckily, their modernity didn’t end on just the spherical tents and a whole lot of attractions awaited inside, among others a mining lift simulator at the “Industrial” pavilion or a tourist cycling simulator, where the speed of film display depended on the pedalling rate.

The innovative structures used during the event and delivered by FDomes Event consisted of: two spherical F30 tents, two spherical F75 tents and one spherical F150 tent.

On the 1st of May, in the sunny capital of Catalonia, the finals of the world’s largest interactive football tournament – FIFA Interactive World Cup 2010 – took place.

After several months of qualifiers, which almost 800.000 players from all over the world took part in, 32 players were selected to compete for the title of world champion in picturesque Port Olympic – Barcelona.

Commissioned by Sony and in cooperation with the British Amplify agency, we provided the geodesic event domes 75 tent, along with the flooring. Our spherical structure was used as a central point for the Sony PlayStation 3 presentations, which held football matches, and the interactive EA Sports games, accessible to the tent’s visitors, were a great success with the public.

Our original flooring system was enthusiastically received by multimedia specialists from London’s RockIt company, who placed the entire wiring system underneath the floor. Thanks to that, kilometres of cables connecting LCD monitors, PlayStation 3 consoles, lighting and PA systems were aesthetically concealed.

Thanks to the use of the light impervious OPAK membrane, in connection with the tent’s front made of the same fabric, we ensured an appropriate dimming of the tent. That enabled comfortable use of LCD monitors and prevented the tent from heating up despite the sunny day and a heated atmosphere in the Port Olympic marina.

A pleasant feeling of refreshment and the cooling of electronic equipment were ensured by an air-conditioner placed outside the tent and connected by a sleeve.

Patrick Kluivert, former FC Barcelona player and representative of the Netherlands, added splendour to the event with his presence, and the audience was accompanied by music all day, with the Groove Armada duo being the unquestionable star. The ones made weary by the football world could admire the views of the nearby beach and the Mediterranean... or relax on cosy seats inside the FDomes Event dome tent.

Although the beginnings of the Voluntary Water Rescue Team (WOPR) on the Polish coast were really difficult – no permanent rescue bases, clapped out boats or metal buoys that were actually barrels – WOPR lifeguards are (as they say themselves) “real tough guys,” and thanks to their persistence and hard work they created a base and infrastructure to be envied.

Fast motorboats, off-road vehicles, professional means of communication, pneumatic buoys, modern patrol boats – these are now standard equipment.

Having considered that the vast majority of the society doesn’t even know about it, for the needs of presenting WOPR lifeguards’ skills FDomes Event delivered a event geodesic dome 30 sphere tent to the beach in Trzęsacz.

On the 6th of September 2008 the final event of Red Bull X-Fighters series was staged at the 10th-Anniversary Stadium in Warsaw. Freedomes delivered the dome tents housing the VIP section.

Especially for this occasion, the most innovative freestyle motocross track was built at the stadium. On the night of 6th September, 35.000 viewers cheered for the best FMX competitors in the world during the Red Bull X-Fighters finals. It was the last such big event held at the 10th-Anniversary Stadium just before its disassembly and building the new National Stadium. It was also the first edition of Red Bull X-Fighters ever held in Poland and the whole of Middle-Eastern Europe.

Especially for Red Bull X-Fighters, FDomes Event delivered three event domes of a total surface of 675 m2. Spherical structures were used in the VIP and SuperVIP sections. The innovative structure was covered with the light impervious OPAK fabric, which allowed for fantastic light-play, creating a unique atmosphere. Two event geodesic domes 300 tents were connected by an illuminated transparent tunnel.

From June 29th to July 27th 2008 the Wrocław Non Stop event was held, prepared by the Wrocław Festival Forum.

As part of this event, visual and performance art projects as well as music and film projects have been presented under the common name of “Wrocław Non Stop – Urban Space.” Particularly for this occasion we had prepared the event geodesic dome 300, the flooring area of which exceeds 300 m2.

The spherical structure held a club that played the role of the reception of the Summer Season, i.e. four festivals that comprised it: Survival, Brave Festival, New Horizons Film Festival, and Urban Space Wrocław Non Stop.

The Festival Club under the great tent’s dome was also a place to meet artists, and an information point for the whole series of events. It held: a press office, an Internet café, a bookstore organised by Empik, the RAM Radio festival studio, a coffee house, a small restaurant, and the TVP Kultura television studio.

In the evenings, the Club became a spot for musical presentations. Thanks to the OPAK fabric, the presentations were enhanced by fantastic light-play and the use of interesting audio-visual elements.
