Hi, I’m Sharelys Eliane — visual artist, illustrator, designer & creative proudly based & raised in the countryside of Puerto Rico. ✷

I’ve been creating professionally for years, but I’m still very much in my “I wonder what I can make out of this…” era… pretty much siempre. 💌

👀🤎Digital Invites Never Looked so Good 👉🏼

Little Story: I designed and made my very own stationery for my wedding, both physical printed invites and digital. For digital, we wanted to maintain the look and feel of the realness of physical prints, so we digitalized and added the handpainted elements created for our wedding branding, and incorporated little timeless trinkets for more realistic approach, this, according to our creative direction and vintage/artsy theme. 🥰🤎

Volver a crear se siente diferente cuando sabes el propósito tras lo que haces. ❤️‍🔥

Al comienzo de mi carrera, casi 9 años atrás, pensé que crear era simplemente tener una buena idea o una bonita composición.
Una paleta de colores.
Una ilustración que funcionara.
Un proyecto terminado.

Pero con el tiempo entendí la importancia de escuchar, conectar, interpretar, traducir, disfrutar durante el proceso… nunca es solamente el resultado.

Es el momento antes. El instante en que todavía no existe nada y empiezas a preguntarte:

¿Y si lo hacemos así?
¿Y si esta historia pudiera verse?
¿Qué cubre la necesidad de mi cliente?
¿Cómo interpreto y ayudo a contar su historia?
¿Y si un recuerdo pudiera convertirse en una pieza de arte, algo tangible?

Ahí es donde me gusta estar.

En ese espacio entre interpretar, contar historias a traves del arte y su forma final.

Por eso estoy volviendo a compartir aquí.

No solamente para enseñar lo que hago, sino para abrir un poco la puerta al proceso que nos motiva, que nos hace sentir y recordar ❤️‍🔥 Volvemos…
A las ideas.
A las referencias.
A las historias.
A las pruebas que nunca llegan al feed.
A las cosas que inspiran.

Igualmente, con el tiempo, también descubrir junto a ustedes qué significa crear con propósito, intencionalidad y vulnerabilidad.

¿Qué es algo que siempre has querido convertir o contar a través del arte? Puede que la respuesta termine convirtiéndose en un próximo proyecto.
