Between April 25 and May 1, Palestine Techno Park hosted AI Week — a packed week of conversations, builds, and policy thinking around where AI fits in Palestine's economy. Momentum Labs had the privilege of contributing across three different moments:
· AI Hackathon (organized by Taawon (Welfare Association)) — Sari Taha, our Managing Partner, served on the judging panel and helped shape the evaluation criteria for the operating models and early-stage products the teams pitched.
· YIELD Workshop on AI & the Blue/Green/Circular Economy — Selected by International to run a practical AI session with the YIELD participants, offering technical guidance as youth teams shaped feasible, AI-driven solutions, and contributing to the evaluation of their final pitches.
· AI Policy Focus Group (organized by PITA) — Momentum Labs facilitated the focus group session led by our Director of Research Zayne Abudaka and CTO Mohammed Abu Qare as part of a national AI roadmap conversation.
Three different angles — startups, youth innovation, and policy — and a reminder of how much serious work is happening here. Grateful to some of the trusted partners shaping Palestine's development sectors, and to play our small part in moving this conversation forward.
Thank you to Palestine Techno Park and everyone who organized.
