Many entrepreneurs (especially when starting out) measure their worth by external validation rather than internal compass.

Their approach to business revolves around what they believe is impressive, not what their market actually demands.

This perfectionist mentality appears completely rational and reasonable to them.

If you’ve ever created an offer that didn’t sell, you understand how difficult it is to recognize this illogical thinking pattern.

In reality, you’re likely convinced of your approach’s correctness, and any suggestion otherwise seems absurd.

Unfortunately, when entrepreneurs fall into this trap, others begin to believe in their personal incapacity as well.

You become so convincing and persistent in your counterproductive certainty that you can persuade friends, family, and even mentors that your failures are due to market conditions rather than approach.

For years, business experts have accepted entrepreneurs’ negative assessments of market conditions without verifying the validity of their claims.

This is illustrated in the work of such astute observers as Peter Drucker, particularly in his work “Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” which formed the foundation for traditional business development approaches.

In this classic work, Drucker noted that when an entrepreneur claims the market isn’t ready or the offer isn’t working, he is likely wrong.

The process that eliminates this failure is methodical: define your niche, interview 10-20 potential clients, build precisely what they request, and position it using their exact language.

This approach reveals the truth about entrepreneurship — success comes from serving others’ needs, not fulfilling your own vision.

💥One of the most popular networking events in Lisbon made it to Ericeira!💥

Open Coffee Ericeira is a friendly informal networking event for entrepreneurs, professionals, locals, guests, and people in the startup community in Ericeira.⁣

Your hosts for our June event will be Olga (), Carsten (), and Richard Lucas (), the Founder of Open Coffee Lisbon.

At the Open Coffee you may find a mentor, investor, client, co-founder, employer, vendor, inspiration, or friend.

We meet on Friday, 2nd of June, at The Base Cowork (Rua do Norte 16, Ericeira) at 10:00 AM sharp.

Everybody gets up to 2 minutes to present:
1. Who they are and what they are doing
2. What they want
3. How they can help others

At 11 AM we stop hosting and you can talk to people who are most interesting to you.

Open Coffee Ericeira is an “un-meeting” without a speaker or agenda.
We’re focused on attendees gaining value from other attendees.
The rules, tools, structure, and moderation aim to help attendees grow their businesses.
