Há quem procure estar no centro de tudo. Nós escolhemos regressar. Trabalhamos em diferentes países, filmamos em cidades que nunca dormem e em produções com dimensão, mas há sempre um momento em que voltamos à Figueira da Foz. É aqui, entre o ritmo das marés, o sal no ar e a simplicidade de uma vida ligada ao mar, que reencontramos aquilo que nenhuma grande cidade consegue oferecer: tempo para observar, para pensar e para criar. Estar longe do epicentro da produção nunca foi uma limitação; tornou-se a nossa maior vantagem. Porque o lugar de onde vimos não define a dimensão do nosso trabalho, mas define a forma como olhamos para o mundo. E essa perspetiva viaja connosco para cada filme que fazemos.
Some people strive to be at the center of everything. We choose to come back. Our work takes us across different countries, into cities that never sleep and productions of every scale, but sooner or later, we always return to Figueira da Foz. It is here, guided by the rhythm of the tides, the salt in the air, and the simplicity of a life connected to the ocean, that we rediscover what no major city can offer: the time to observe, to reflect, and to create. Being far from the world’s production hubs has never been a limitation—it has become our greatest strength. Because where we come from doesn’t define the scale of our work; it defines the way we see the world. And that perspective travels with us into every film we make.
