This dashboard will be part of a video tutorial series where we'll be designing 2 UIs from scratch in Figma and then turn them into responsive dashboards. By the end of this video you'll learn some useful tips and tricks to make your design workflow more efficient and fast in Figma for Mac and Windows.

👉 In this Figma Video tutorial we’ll design a To-do screen for a web app using Figma.

We’ll go through the entire process of creating this dashboard step by step and starting from scratch, so it’s a perfect tutorial for both beginners and advanced Figma users.

You’ll simply need a copy of Google’s free font Open Sans and install Nucleo Icons on your mac or windows (if you don’t have it already).

After that, you’ll be ready to rock and roll!

👉 I am currently traveling from Bangkok to Phuket 🌴 and writing this from the airport. This trip reminded me that grinding at work and learning about the best practices to be a cutting edge designer is cool, but it’s soo worth it to take a break and enjoy some time off from the desk 🖥. I rarely like to stop pushing on the throttle, but when I do I often find that it helps recharge my battery and be even more productive when I come back at work. So, if you have been working hard without taking some time off in a long time, my advice for you is to take a break since it might help you in the long run 😉 🍤

Enjoying a fresh coconut 🥥 for breakfast and looking forward to the rest of the day here in Thailand 😎 This country is Amazing, and even though I’ve only been here for 2 days I’m soo looking forward to the next three weeks as we’ll be traveling from island to island and embrace all the experiences this beautiful country will offer 🌴. I really feel blessed to be able to visit these amazing places while growing my online businesses 🙌 🇹🇭

👉 Colors are such an essential part of UI Design since they can be used to convey a specific feeling to a brand and can also be used to drive emphasis and attention to particular segments of the UI Design.

👉 I believe that a strong colour palette can go a long way when working on a design project since it will be the foundation of the entire visual identity.

👉 I encourage designers to take some excellent art classes to learn more about the basics by experimenting and exploring them directly with a brush on a real canvas. I spent years learning about drawing and painting when I was in high school, and those experiences helped to get a stronger grasp of basic design principles, and I encourage you to do the same if you have the opportunity 🙂 .

👉 I am currently working on updating my personal and standard Design System which I use when starting a new project for medium to large companies who require a design system in place for achieving high levels of consistency and scalability. I will share it with you guys and will be available to download once it's done.

📗 I tried pretty much all of the starter design systems kits available on the market, but I'm always facing the same issue: too much "stuff" which I don't need when starting a project and inconsistent or borderline practices when it comes down to the structure of the system itself.
……………………………………..
📘 I am creating this system with a very clear philosophy in mind: I want to create the most scalable yet flexible and easy to use Design System to kickstart a project.
……………………………………..
✅ I want to just duplicate this Design System sketch file and start working straight away, without having to think too much about the technicalities.
I want to move Fast. .
……………………………………..
That's my goal. Will I achieve it? I think I'm at a very good point and I'm personally very happy with the progress. I will share it with you guys in the design community once it's done 👍

👉 At the same time, web design is one of the most critical factors for the success of a website. More than half of people say that the design of a site is their main factor for judging a company’s credibility. As a consequence, it heavily influences conversions, bounce rate, and more.

👉If only there were a way to find some objective data on how to create a successful web design. Although there are many types of research and case studies on the web, it all comes down to A/B tests for your specific situation and niche. However, there are some good practices that more often than not will help you bring your results to the next level. Stop relying on your gut feeling and start doing things proven to work:

✅ Leverage the Fold: in 2018, people spend 57 per cent of their time above the fold with a sharp decline afterwards.
