Aegruum — Experimental Poetry / Editorial Design

Last year, an Estonian author invited me to create visuals poems with his 'haikus'. We did also use illustrations from artist 

The work went incredibly well, one of those cases where the connection overcame any language barrier.

Last year, an Estonian author invited me to create visuals poems with his 'haikus'. We did also use illustrations from artist

For the Visual Identity, they trust my expertise in graphic design and my background in architecture to redraw their logo. After that, I prepared several materials, including the website, business cards, presentation documents, and architectural plans layouts.

(PT) ENA é um estúdio de arquitetura sediado em Lisboa. Na sua prática, valorizam a estética e a atenção ao detalhe. Para a sua Identidade Visual, confiaram nas minhas valências no design gráfico e no meu passado ligado à arquitetura para redesenhar o seu logotipo. Após definido o logotipo, foram preparados os restantes elementos da identidade visual, tais como o website, cartões de visita, layouts de apresentação e dos desenhos técnicos.

Ana Rita de Albuquerque — Logotype

In my process, I started by exploring calligraphy and experimented with some drawings representing the "Artist Animal". The inverted "A" reflects this idea and represents a beast's head, a theme in part of Ana Rita's work. It was our idea to design a simple logo, something that wouldn't overshadow her art. We also wanted something easy to use on felted wool, her media of choice.

In my process, I started by exploring calligraphy and experimented with some drawings representing the "Artist Animal".
