Vein Creative, a collective that helps businesses and ideas towards sustainable growth, was born from the shared vision between mother and daughter, interior designer Vera and content marketer Veronica Costas.
We wanted to keep our initials as part of the brand, we wanted to convey a family connection in an unusual way, to hint at sustainability and nature, and to create a brand that can grow beyond us.
Vein seemed like the perfect name for our business – obviously, we are connected by blood, but as we dug deeper for inspiration, we fell in love with the similarities humans and natural elements like leaves and wood share. These elements also have veins, tree roots look a lot like human veins or ageing skin, our fingers are much like branches, and our spine looks so much like the vein structure of leaves.
And so it was decided – Vein Creative would have a very natural and organic look and feel.
We know from Feng Shui and Numerology studies that our elements, Metal and Water, apart from being from the Yang colour family, are very different. In the creative cycle of the elements, water feeds wood, which feeds fire, which creates earth, which creates metal which holds water. In the destructive cycle, water extinguishes fire, which melts metals, which cut wood, which pierces the earth, which dams water.
Earth and Wood were the elements we selected, from Yin and Yang families, which would be neutral or beneficial to each of us and would help us find balance – in business and in life.
Dark cool colours, like greens, are great for Yin elements, while warm colours like yellows and browns represent Yang elements. These colours were heavily represented in our mood board and inspiration images, so it all fit together perfectly.
We have been working on this brand for a long time, and it is so very exciting to finally share it with the world.
