I made a thing.

It's an AI tool called Content Prism. You give it an idea, and instead of handing back the same take everyone's already posting, it splits your idea into six different angles, pokes holes in each one, and hands you the sharpest version — before you've written a word.

Basically: stop writing the obvious version of your idea. Run it through the prism first.

Free, if you're the kind of person who tinkers with this stuff 👇

I was just talking about this very concept last week...

Sometimes you have to lean into what the day holds. Sometimes you have to go with the flow. Sometimes, when inspiration runs dry, you have to be okay with stopping. Sometimes you have to commit to the work in front of you rather than force a social situation to come together. Sometimes you have to focus on the thing that matters instead of the thing that's desirable. Sometimes you have to take what the defense will give you.

https://stevenpressfield.com/2026/04/take-what-the-defense-will-give-you-2/

The work always resists us. Some days it REALLY resists us. On those days, there’s no shame in doing what football offenses do: Take what the defense will give you. If our novel/screenplay/dance/comedy sketch won’t let us throw the deep ball that day, that’s okay. Take the short pass. Take the...

Last month, we spent a weekend in northern Portugal—Aveiro, Ovar, Braga, Guimarães—and at one point, I was convinced we were getting scammed.

- A woman at a café in Braga who seemed a little too interested.

- An empty restaurant on the outskirts of town on a rainy Thursday night.

- A menu with insane prices.

Turns out, my American skepticism was the only thing that didn't belong at the table.

Another day, another launch! And this might be the most important one yet.

If you've been following along lately, you know I've been on a bit of a building spree — a handful of free apps that help people capture who they are so AI can actually work with them, not just for them.

WriteLikeMe captures how you write. WeTheMe captures what you believe. StoryArchive captures the stories that make you, you.

But the question I kept getting was — okay, great, now what do I do with all of this?

Turns out the answer is simpler than you'd think.

Every AI platform — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity — has a place where you can tell it who you are before any conversation even starts. Custom instructions. Most people have no idea it's there. Or they leave it blank. And then they wonder why AI sounds like a robot.

That's why I built Customized AI.

https://customizedai.app/

It's free. You answer a few questions, provide your preferences, and it generates custom instructions mapped to the exact fields of whichever platform you use. Just cut and paste. Five minutes.

And if you don't have a Writing Codex, Personal Constitution, or Story Bank yet? The app connects you to the tools that build them.

This is what I've been calling Personal Context Mining — you do the work of understanding yourself, and then you put that understanding to work everywhere.

If you try it, let me know how it goes. Genuinely curious to hear what people think.

Answer a few questions, get copy-paste ready instructions for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity — tailored to each platform's exact fields.

Many people get frustrated with AI because it sounds generic. That's not AI's fault—it's your. Simply put, AI doesn't work as well unless it knows who you are, what you're trying to accomplish, and why.

Story Archive fixes that. It uses sensory and emotional prompts to surface the stories that shaped you, then AI finds the patterns, including your signature phrases, your themes, the threads connecting moments you never thought were related.

After using this free tool, you walk away with a personal story bank that gives AI the context it needs.

Your best stories are slipping away. StoryArchive uses memory triggers to pull out the defining moments and signature phrases that make you you.

I'm going to tell you something that changed how I use AI every single day.

A few months ago, I sat down and wrote a document about myself. Not a resume. Not a bio. A real, honest account of who I am—my values, my goals, what I'm building, what matters to me personally and professionally. The stuff you don't usually put into words.

Then I gave it to my AI.

The difference was night and day. Suddenly, the advice wasn't generic. It wasn't one-size-fits-all garbage that could apply to anyone. It was mine, specific to my situation, my priorities, my life.

Most people who say AI is overhyped have never done this. They type in a question and get a stranger's answer back. Of course that feels useless.

The fix isn't a fancier prompt. It's context. YOUR context.

So I built a tool that makes it easy. We The Me walks you through the hard questions and generates a Personal Constitution, a document that tells AI who it's actually talking to.

You decide how deep you go. It's free. And honestly, even if you never use it with AI, the exercise of answering these questions is worth it on its own.

Better context in. Better everything out.

Your AI doesn't know you. A Personal Constitution changes that. 20 minutes to write. Use it forever.

So let me get this straight… you’re not allowed to force a baker to make a wedding cake for a gay couple but you can force an AI company to spy on citizens and create autonomous weapons?

When uncertainty strikes, are you going to turn around and go back? Or are you moving full speed ahead and trusting your instincts that the proverbial Earth is round and not flat?

We’ve initiated our startup, our non-profit, our novel. A favorable wind of enthusiasm has borne us safely through the first stages. If we’re talking about a stage play, we’ve reached the end of Act One. Suddenly … Panic strikes. The poster child for this moment is Christopher Columbus. He h...
