AI watermarking is here: every word Claude generates now carries an invisible signature. Here's what it means for marketers using AI in their workflows, and what to do about it.

Anthropic activated a watermarking system across all Claude models released from August. The trigger? Article 50 of the EU AI Act, which requires AI providers to make machine-generated content identifiable.

The watermark is invisible to the reader. It works by subtly influencing the model's word choices, a technique called SynthID-Text, developed by Google DeepMind. For files, Claude uses the C2PA standard with digitally signed provenance metadata.

What changes for marketing teams using AI?
Transparency becomes the default, not the exception.
AI-generated content becomes traceable.
Your workflow needs a conscious layer of human review.

This is exactly why we say Human + AI: AI is a powerful tool, but strategic thinking, editing, and accountability stay human.

Advertising inside ChatGPT is now open to everyone. OpenAI just launched its own ad platform, and it changes how brands reach people at the moment of decision.
Here's why this matters: people on ChatGPT are exploring options, comparing alternatives and making real choices. Ads appear inside that conversation, matched to context rather than keywords.

Think about what that means. Instead of bidding on a search term, you're showing up when someone is actively weighing trade-offs, asking follow-up questions and narrowing down. The signal is richer. The intent is deeper.

OpenAI says ads are clearly labeled, kept separate from ChatGPT's answers and users control how their data is used for targeting.

For brands ready to experiment, there's a launch incentive: spend $500, get $500 in ad credit.
But the real question, as always, is whether your strategy, tracking and creative are ready before you add another channel to the mix.

Save this for your next media planning conversation.

AI tools for marketing workflows just got a major upgrade, and this one matters for how you actually work, not just what the tool can do.

Claude released a wave of updates that shift AI from "chatbot you open when you need a draft" to something closer to a digital colleague you can delegate real tasks to.

The biggest change: Cowork is now on your phone. Start a task on desktop, research, a content brief, an expense reconciliation, and it keeps running. You get a notification when it needs your approval. You review on the go. The work continues in the background even when you close the app.

For marketers managing multiple campaigns, clients, and platforms, this is the kind of update that actually saves hours, not minutes.

We broke down the 4 updates that matter most in the carousel.

At ADV+, we test every AI tool before recommending it to clients. Human + AI means knowing which tools deserve a place in your stack, and which are just noise.

Save this for your next workflow review.

Instagram SEO is the reason two accounts posting the same thing get completely different reach in 2026, and if you manage Instagram professionally, the gap is widening every month.

Here's the uncomfortable part: most of the accounts losing ground are doing everything they were taught. Consistent posting, solid design, hashtag sets built two years ago. The work is fine. The discovery layer underneath it changed, and nobody sent a memo.

What makes this worth your attention is that the fixes are small. None of them require a new content strategy, a bigger budget, or a redesign. Several are settings you can change in under a minute, and they're switched off on most accounts we audit, including accounts run by people who do this full time.

The 10 slides are the full breakdown: what the algorithm actually reads, where to put it, and the technical settings still sitting untouched.

Go through it with the account you manage open in another tab. Then tell us in the comments which one you already had covered. We're curious how many people are ahead on this.

Instagram's new logo 2026 landed on August 13, ending a decade of the original script. Within hours the internet had renamed the app "Instagzam", and the jokes were fair, that stylised "r" is doing a lot of work.

We laughed too. Then we read the announcement properly, and found a line worth more than the whole letterform debate: the platform's signature gradient will be used more sparingly across its visual identity from now on.
If your brand publishes here, that line matters. When a platform quietly turns down its own visual volume, it's telling you it wants the content to carry the attention instead of the frame around it. Those templates you built to look native to Instagram will age faster than you'd like.

There's also the question we get every time a large brand changes clothes: "should we refresh our logo too?" The honest answer is that a restyle produces attention, not direction. Direction comes from knowing who you're speaking to and what you want them to recognise, the mark follows. Instagram could afford to touch its wordmark precisely because it has been recognisable for ten years.

The carousel breaks down what actually changed, what stayed untouched, and the three questions we ask before recommending a rebrand to any client.
Which one do you prefer, old or new? 👇

Marketing consulting comes down to one thing: deciding.

Every week we talk to founders and marketing managers running multichannel marketing across four platforms, with Meta advertising live and five browser tabs open. And one question in their head: where am I actually going?

The problem is rarely the amount of work. It's the lack of direction.

When the strategy is clear, every decision after it gets easier: which channel earns the budget, which test comes first, what can wait until next quarter. When it's missing, even well-run campaign management just amplifies the noise — and the results become hard to explain to whoever asks you about the numbers.

That's why we stopped introducing ourselves with a service list a long time ago.

We start from the real situation: the stage the company is in, the data that already exists, the team, how much you want to delegate. From there we choose the path together. Sometimes it's a strategy to build. Sometimes an audit before spending. Sometimes AI coaching, so your team becomes more independent.

In the carousel you'll find the six situations we hear most often, and the answer we give to each one.

If one of them sounds like you, we're already halfway there 🧡

Send us the number in DM: we'll tell you where we'd start.

Meta advertising has three changes worth ten minutes of your attention before you close the laptop for the holidays.

One is already sitting on your invoice, and it changes what your budget buys across European markets.
One replaces an objective you have almost certainly still got running somewhere.
One removes a placement later this year, far enough away to forget about, close enough to plan around.

Individually, none of them breaks a campaign.
Together they change what your reporting shows in September, which is exactly the month nobody has time to work out why the numbers moved.

And there is a fourth one we would actually leave switched on all month. It costs nothing and it works while you are at the beach.

Popydigital names all four in his week’s newsletter, out every Thursday: platform changes, advertising data, and the read we would give a client.

TikTok strategy in 2026 rewards one thing above everything else: retention.

The completion rate it takes to earn wide distribution has climbed hard since 2024. And the videos pulling best right now are the long ones, not the fifteen-second clips everyone learned to make.

Read that twice, because it reverses two years of advice. Short was the safe bet. Short is now just short.

Being present on the platform stopped being enough a while ago. Keeping people watching is the whole game, and the bar moved while most brands were still optimising the first three seconds.

Roberto "Popy" Nardini - Popydigital put the actual numbers in last week's issue: where the bar sits now, the length that is genuinely working, and the two other platform shifts that landed the same week, one of which changes how you plan September entirely.

His newsletter goes out every Thursday: platform updates, advertising data, and the read we would give a client.

Meta ads update: a comment can now become a private message, automatically. 📩

If you run paid social for your own brand or for clients, this one hands you back the most valuable thing in the funnel, the response time.
Here’s the mechanic. You set a few keywords. Someone comments one of them, and the answer you prepared lands straight in their DMs: a link, a price range, a location, a code.

Five worth setting up first 👇
PRICE → send the range and what moves it. They’re already picturing the purchase.
DEMO → send the video, not the sales page. Let them watch it work.
WHERE → send the map link. Local intent moves fast.
HOURS → send opening times, plus one reason to come today.
OFFER → keep the code private. It stays a reason to comment.

Two habits that make it work better:
Build your keyword list from the comments you already have.
Real people write “how much” and “info”, start there and your match rate climbs immediately.
Reply publicly too, one line: “just sent you a DM”. It lifts open rates, especially with people who found you today and follow you tomorrow.

Automation buys you speed. Your offer still does the convincing.

💾 Save this for your next campaign setup and send it to whoever runs your ad account.

AI creative just took a real step forward, and it’s worth your attention.

Meta introduced Muse Image, the first image-generation model out of its Superintelligence Labs, landing inside Advantage+ creative in the coming weeks. The promise: it reads your creative brief, edits single elements, changes style, and produces on-brand variants with fewer steps than before.
Here’s the smart way to approach it: most of the AI-creative concerns circulating this past month came from the pre-Muse stack, which makes this the right moment to test again, with a controlled experiment, and build on what’s already working in your production.

AI is already strong at generating volume. The idea still comes from you, and that’s exactly where the opportunity is.

At the same time, Instagram’s algorithm is rewarding something better than likes: watch time, saves, shares, and real comments now carry the most weight. Content adapted with intention for each platform is what stands out.

Put the two trends together and the direction is clear: more AI-powered variation upstream, more genuine engagement signal downstream. The brands winning right now are the ones still leading with a strong idea, AI simply helps them move faster.

Have you started testing Advantage+ creative tools yet, or are you gathering more data first?
