It connects communicators sharing best practice and recognising excellence through FEIEA Grand Prix Formed in 1955, in Copenhagen, as a non-profit Federation of European Industrial Editors Associations, FEIEA is now the European Association for Internal Communication, embodying co-operation among national member associations, currently in 9 countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Portugal, Sl

2022 Grand Prix winners announced!

More than 70 internal comms professionals took part in this year’s FEIEA Grand Prix awards on 29 November – celebrating as winners or congratulating the winning entries.

Held virtually, the ceremony announced the winners of the eight strategy and channel classes, with GP Awards director, Peter Op de Beeck, hosting the event.

We also heard from FEIEA President, Suzanne Peck, who outlined what she believes are the top three opportunities for IC in 2023; met last year’s FEIEA IC personality of the year, Edita Krajnović from Slovenia on what the year had meant to her; and had a discussion with three of this year’s judges, who shared what they look for in an entry, what differentiates a ‘good’ entry from a ‘winning’ entry, plus their personal take aways and tips for entrants.

Then it was the awards and a major night for celebration for Slovakia with winners in five out of the eight classes – congratulations!

FEIEA will be running a series of webinars in the new year with case studies from some of our winning entries, so look out for the dates to find out more about these ‘best in class’ internal comms examples.

We're excited to reveal the shortlisted winners of this year's FEIEA Grand Prix awards.

Excited because this word best describes the quality of this year’s entries. Says Peter Op de Beeck, FEIEA GP Director: "The quality was so high, and on behalf of FEIEA and our judges throughout the three rounds of evaluation, we want to thank you for that. Thank you for contributing to the reputation and strategic importance of great internal communication throughout Europe."

As one of the judges said: “It has been an intensive but delightful journey to discover a lot of little jewels amongst the entries.”

We congratulate all award nominees and hope you can join us for our virtual Grand Prix Celebration Event on 29th November when we announce the class winners. The exact timing and link will be shared as soon as possible with nominees.

Adds Peter: "Thank you and congratulations too to all the entries who didn’t make it to this shortlist. You have made the work of our judges extremely hard when we see the comments our juries made. And of course, all of you are equally welcome to our virtual awards event."

3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD ENTER THE FEIEA AWARDS

Everyone wants to be, or work for, a winner.

Celebrating success with your teams gives great opportunities for culture building and celebrating the hard work they put in each day and it goes a long way towards building a positive company culture – key ingredients for an engaged workforce.

FEIEA’s Grand Prix IC awards are now open, celebrating the best internal communications work in Europe - a great achievement to win and an opportunity to reward hard work publicly.

We’re all busy right now and putting together an award entry is just another thing on your ‘to do’ list, but here are FEIEA’s top 3 reasons why entering this year’s Grand Prix awards is good for you, your team, your organisation – and our professions:

1. Benchmarking
Putting an award entry together makes you take a fresh look at your work from a different perspective. Judges are looking for impact, not just what you delivered. You have to be clear about what will help your entry stand out, are there clear objectives, and how did you add value? As well as helping you to think about ways you could be doing things better, when the FEIEA award results are revealed, you can also benchmark yourself against other leading organisations.

2. Demonstrating value
It's not good enough to just be good at what you do: it's important for others to see you as being good at what you do. A FEIEA award win is an independent endorsement for your work. Internally it shows that your IC work has impact and externally helps to differentiate your company from competitors.

3. Brand visibility
The PR opportunities from a win or even making an awards shortlist, put you and your company in the spotlight. Reputable awards such as the FEIEA Grand Prix generate significant publicity. Share your involvement on social media using any hashtags associated with the awards and include news of your success within your business and externally.

The 2022 FEIEA Grand Prix is now open for entries - closing date is 15 October.
