Aladdin is my favourite movie ever. I know, it’s a Disney movie. But the colours are amazing, there’s a tiger, THE genie, the first badass princess, all that mystic Arabian Nights vibe! How can you not love it?🧞‍♂️🐒🌙🕌✨

Well, Aladdin also has the coolest title card, in my opinion. Since it’s still 36 Days of Type season (and also I’ve wanted to do this since forever!) I’ve designed my own take on the title lettering. I’ve even downloaded a study about the evolution of middle eastern script over the course of history to do this. I’m that committed! 💪🏽

Check the original one from 1992, designed by two great masters: Burke Mattsson and Susan Bradley. (Really, search their work, Mattsson worked in titles since the 60’s and they’re all incredible. And Bradley has been doing this for more than 25 years)

If it's not to late to finally print my 2020 planner, then it's not too late to remind you to celebrate all women, everyday! 😎💥⁠⠀

My thoughts for (or month) are the same from last year. Educate yourself about what feminism really is. Feminism is Equality, and our society should be based on equality. Sure, dinner out with the girls and chocolate are always great, but this day should be a reminder that women everywhere are deserving of respect every day of the year. ⁠⠀

And if you think we already have that because we can wear pants, and own property and have jobs, don't forget that's due to a lot of really brave women and men that fought hard for those "privileges". Let's keep working together today to really be seen and heard as equals across genders. ⁠⠀

Also, We need everyone to come together and be a part of the discussion.

Branding — O Processo. ⁠⠀

Making custom type and lettering logos is becoming my favorite thing, this one was no exception. Sometimes it takes a long time to achieve the results you want, other times, like in this case, you already have a pretty clear idea of how it should look in the end.⁠⠀
I'm really proud of the way it turned out.🖤⁠⠀

This is a digital marketing business, to put it simple. Very self-aware and kind of fearless in their professional approach. We went for a classic, industrial look with a very sleek and digital twist to encompass that bold feeling.⁠⠀

Typography is the main focus of the logo, graphically. But don't get me started on the bright, bold, beautiful neon green! Unavoidable, right? 🐸🍏🎾💚⁠⠀

Last weekend’s workshop!💖

Já estamos a mais de metade desta época de workshops de encadernação. E este é sempre um dos meus momentos preferidos (o outro são as costuras terminadas.... aiii) Quando chegamos ao fim da manhã e prestamos atenção ao objecto que temos nas mãos, totalmente feito por cada um dos alunos!!

O workshop desta semana já está esgotado há semanas, mas o de Lisboa, no dia 15, ainda tem 1 vaga!! 🙂 corram, se estiverem interessados.

And here it’s is! Hello 2020! Happy New Year, everyone! ✨

I had planned to spend the last days of 2019 like everyone else: looking back on this long decade and planning for the future. But then Santa gifted me a really annoying case of flu and I have been in bed since Christmas Day. Yay! (I must have been a really bad girl this year!)

The bright side is I got a lot of rest and now that I’m feeling better I’m starting to play a bit with my new toy! And it’s awesome!!! Here is my first try of 2020! May I be a lot better at the end of the year.

Haven’t had the time to think hard about the last year, but I feel it was a good one! Thanks to all the friends and family that always make it happier and to all the clients that trusted me with their life’s work! 💖

(Just something to think about: in 2009 I was in my first year of design, in college. What a baby!!)

A set of illustrations I did for
It’s the 4 seasons and the 4 weeks of a menstrual cycle.❣️

Tamar ( ) compiled a planner focused on guiding women through their menstrual cycles. It’s moods, energies and intentions. Check it out on her page.

I have to be honest, I didn’t know much about the subject and it was fun to learn from it. But I’m always for anything that helps demystify periods and the feminine natural cycles! So it was nice to be able to have a small part in this.
