The market entry consulting firm, FRD Center, team welcomes to Bucharest (Romania) the Indian Trade Delegation led by the Hon'ble President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu. The Romania-India Economic Forum was organised in Bucharest on 24 July 2026 on the occasion of the Indian state visit.
The Romania-India Business Forum turned Bucharest into a meeting point for investors interested in IT, the pharmaceutical industry, renewable energy, agri-business and infrastructure, at a time when trade between the two countries is reaching record levels.
Speaking on the occasion, the President of India said that Romania, with its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe, highly skilled human resources, advanced industrial capabilities and strong integration with the European Union, remains a natural and valuable partner for India. Romania serves not only as an important destination for investment but also as a gateway to the wider European market. She stated that the participation of a large Indian business delegation in this Forum reflects the growing confidence of Indian industries in the opportunities that Romania offers and their desire to build enduring partnerships with Romanian businesses. The President of Romania said "I am glad that the political visit has a strong economic component, because there are important economic prospects between our economies. India is the fourth largest economy in the world. India is a major center of technological innovation.
Romania is the gateway from Asia to Europe and also, Romania, if we look to the future, is a country with an interesting energy perspective, it is a country with an interesting quality of personnel, also, especially in the area of technology, science, IT, so there are possibilities for cooperation that are opening up before us."
