Mă bucur să anunț publicarea unui nou studiu intitulat "Crisis, emotion, and control: Rethinking governance
and institutional responses to uncertainty".

We tend to fear what we do not know - and that’s where much of the fear around AI comes from. But if we look at the actual level of AI development, there’s no real reason to fear it. At least, not yet.
With this in mind, I started a series of articles on my blog to help those interested learn more about AI and how to use it ethically, especially in research.
Here’s the second article in the series 👉

🤖 AI seems like a miracle, but it’s not magic.
We’re often amazed by it because we don’t fully understand how it works. In my latest blog post, I explain what AI is, how it functions, and why we should not compare it to the human brain.
The article is available here:

Society Technology What is AI and how it works? July 2, 2025 by Doina Gavrilov, PhD No Comments From the beginning, AI has been perceived as something almost magical, with definitions primarily highlighting its capabilities rather than the underlying components or operational principles. When attemp...

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Francesco Buscemi, the author of the book "The Island on an Island: The Cultural History of Costa Smeralda."
The presentation highlighted interesting aspects of Costa Smeralda’s cultural and economic development, raising questions about the probability of similar patterns occurring in other parts of the world today, especially in regions like Italy and Greece, where local communities are often overwhelmed by tourism, yet deeply dependent on it.
