Amber Heritage is a premium honey producer and retailer based in East Cape, New Zealand and founded in 1912. The main honey types it produces are based on New Zealand native trees like Manukā, Kāmahi, Kānuka, Pōhutukawa, etc. Amber Heritage's objective is to enter the market with other honey-related products.
The new branding aims to communicate the heritage and tradition Amber Heritage Co has and differentiate the brand from the competition.
The logo mark represents a monogram based on the initials of the brand built in the style of vintage letters to communicate the tradition and also subtly hinting to the honeycombs through the hexagonal shape of the monogram symbol.
The wordmark "Amber Heritage Co" had been custom built to reflect the same vintage letters that can be seen in the monogram, while the colour palette based on greens have been chosen for differentiation purposes and also to hint to the vast green landscapes of New Zealand.
A secondary logo has been created in the shape of a badge to give the brand more depth in the future use of packaging and other deliverables.
The result is a modern and premium identity that helps Amber Heritage leverage the vast tradition it holds in the field of honey production and beekeeping and also stand out in the market.
