This week, the heart of Europe's forestry community is abuzz with excitement 🌲🌳 as it hosts the prestigious European Student Championship in Forestry Skills (ESCFS) 🏆. This annual event, showcasing the continent's brightest young forestry talents 🌱, is taking place in a particularly fitting location this year: the picturesque region of Bucovina, Romania 🏞️.
Short-term goal of The European Student Championship in Forestry Skills (ESCFS) is the presentation of the latest achievements in logging techniques 🪵, logging machinery tools ⚙️ and logger’s safety equipment ⛑️ and a comparison of these at an international level in theory and practice. In planning and carrying out the competitions, special attention is paid to safety aspects in working techniques ✅. Long-term aim of the competitions is to increase the appreciation of forest work 👏 and to draw general attention to forestry training and the forestry industry on both a national and international level 🌍. These competitions play a particularly significant role in creating international contacts between students and schools 🤝, which contribute to the furthering peaceful coexistence between nations 🕊️.
Romania 🇷🇴 is honored to welcome the ESCFS to Bucovina and looks forward to a week of inspiring competition 💪, cultural exchange 🎭, and a shared commitment to sustainable forestry practices ♻️.
