During the first six months of 2019, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased 0.8% year-on-year up to 122.5 bn euro. Import from EU countries into Russia was up 2.1%. Export from Russia to the European Union declined by 2.3%.

DE LA REY ORGANIZED B2B TOUR IN RUSSIA FOR A KOREAN RESIN MANUFACTURER
From 16 to 19 September, 2019 De La Rey Consulting Ltd. conducted a business tour for a resin manufacturer from the Republic of Korea. Having its own research institute, the company designs and produces synthetic resins for paints, inks and adhesives. The B2B tour was aimed at holding negotiations with Russian paint manufacturers and distributors of chemicals and resins.
Within the project De La Rey Consulting Ltd. searched for relevant Russian buyers (both end-users and distributors), prepared a meeting schedule, and arranged visits to buyers’ manufacturing sites, show rooms and offices.
During the visit of the Korean delegation to Russia, its representatives took part in four B2B meetings with potential customers from three Russian cities – Yaroslavl, Moscow and St. Petersburg. Besides, the Korean company had one B2G meeting with a governmental agency from Lipetsk region in order to discuss the possibility of opening company’s warehouse or manufacturing facility in Lipetsk Special Economic Zone.
The results of the business tour were reflected in the final report describing all the agreements reached by the Korean resin manufacturer and Russian companies during the negotiations.

On July 17, 2019 the Republic of Bashkortostan hosted the II International Business Forum “Time To Export”, where De La Rey Consulting Ltd. general director Yury Shurygin became a moderator of a panel session named “Beyond Exporting”.
Participants of the “Beyond Exporting” brainstorming session discussed both common and individual export issues, including demand on Russian products abroad, differences in business ethics, malpractice of foreign partners etc. During the session, entrepreneurs were also given some practical advices based on success export stories.

DE LA REY DIRECTOR HELD AN EXPORT WORKSHOP FOR ELECTRONICS ASSOCIATION
On April 11, 2019 De La Rey Consulting Ltd. general director Yury Shurygin addressed a workshop on the theme “Foreign Partner Search. Effective International Sales-Building”. The workshop was organized by the Electronics Developers and Manufacturers Association for Russian electronics industry companies.
Mr. Shurygin gave a detailed presentation on the process of determining the most prospective export destinations and searching potential trade partners abroad. The workshop participant got acquainted with efficient techniques of sales-building in foreign markets, advanced sales channels, tips on communication with potential clients, dealers or representatives.
At the second part of the workshop Mr. Shurygin represented relevant case studies and consulted entrepreneurs on various aspects of export activities.

De La Rey Consulting Ltd. general director Yury Shurygin and deputy director Evgenia Shchipkova participated in Russia-Azerbaijan Industrial Cooperation Forum held in Baku on April 04, 2019. The Forum speaker list included such high-rank officials as Russian Minister of Industry and Economy D. Manturov, Azertbaijan’s Minister of Economy S. Mustafayev, Board Chairman of Azerbaijan-Russia Business Council S. Gurbanov, AZPROMO Acting President Y. Abdullayev and others.
Since Azerbaijan remains one of the top target markets among De La Rey’s project destinations, our company carries out numerous projects on fostering the business ties between entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and other countries. DE LA REY ARRANGED B2B MEETINGS IN MOSCOW FOR TURKISH CHEMICAL INDUSTRY DELEGATION
On November 26-27, 2018 Moscow hosted a chemical industry delegation from the Republic of Turkey. The delegation was represented by 10 manufacturers of textile chemicals, industrial lubricants, glues, car chemicals, paints, rubber articles, polymer films, water treatment chemicals, personal care, perfume and cosmetics.
De La Rey Consulting Ltd. organized B2B meetings and a one-day retail tour for Turkish exporters. The project scope included the analysis of customs database, search for relevant Russian buyers, communication with potential partners, the organization of a matchmaking session and visits to buyers’ offices. This work resulted in conducting B2B meetings with more than 30 Russian buyers within the matchmaking session and arranging two visits to the buyers’ offices and showrooms in Moscow.

DE LA REY AT EURASIAN WEEK IN ARMENIA
From 22 to 24 October, 2018 De La Rey Consulting Ltd. participated in the major international EAEU forum “Eurasian Week” in Yerevan, Armenia. This forum was organized by the Eurasian Economic Commission with the support of the EAEU member countries’ governments. More than 2,500 people from 25 countries visited forum’s events, including round tables, expert discussions, exhibitions and procurement sessions.
The forum’s program started with the plenary meeting themed “The Real Sector of the EAEU Economy: Enhancing the Potential in the Course of Integration”. Among the plenary meeting speakers there were the first deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, Minister of Finance A. Siluanov, Prime-Minister of Armenia N. Pashinyan, Co-Chairman of the EEC Board T. Sarkisyan. The event was focused on effective cooperation between the business and the state for sustainable economic growth, expanding business contacts between EAEU enterprises, involving non-EAEU trade partners to fruitful cooperation.
De La Rey general director Yuri Shurygin became a moderator of the expert session named “Small and Medium-Sized Exporters as Drivers of the EAEU Development”. The discussion was centered on improving the export support policy. During the session the representatives of Russian regional export support centers shared their best practices and new approaches used in their activity.

DE LA REY PROVIDED A NATIONWIDE B2B TOUR IN KAZAKHSTAN FOR A SPANISH COMPANY
From 18 to 22 June, 2018 representatives of a Spanish company producing mattress manufacture equipment visited Kazakhstan. A one-week B2B tour was organized by De La Rey Consulting Ltd. on request of Catalonia Agency for Business Competitiveness, Spain.
The project consisted of several stages, namely submitting potential partner database with detailed information about partner’s activities and contact details, communicating with more than 40 potential partners in Kazakhstan, negotiating the possibility to hold a meeting, submitting potential partner list with their feedbacks, preparing a meeting schedule, providing transport, interpreting and photo services during the visit of Spanish delegation.
As a result of these efforts, the B2B tour covered five cities in Kazakhstan (Almaty, Petropavlovsk, Chimkent, Uralsk, Kostanay), where the Spanish company had 10 business talks with local manufacturing companies.
