Покрас карбоновой рамы ICAN Triaero M37. Очередной эксперимент, но уже с финишным покрытием. Дизайн согласовали довольно быстро, давно было желание изобразить нечто подобное. Но самое интересное на финальном этапе покрытия матовым лаком — с эффектом Раптор.
Да, пришлось повозиться с тестами, чтоб найти нужный баланс 3-х компонетного состава лака. Во-первых важно было сохранить адгезионные свойства, во-вторых нужно было придать поверхности очень мелкую и однородную шагрень. Лак покрывал в несколько этапов, интересная получилась техника и необычный результат.

Custom paint job on a carbon frame ICAN Triaero M37. Another experiment, but this time with a finish coating. We agreed on the design pretty quickly — I’ve long wanted to create something like this. But the most interesting part came at the final stage: coating it with matte varnish with a “Raptor” effect. Yes, it took quite a few tests to find the right balance in the 3‑component varnish formula.
First, it was important to preserve the adhesive properties; second, I needed to give the surface a very fine and uniform orange‑peel texture. I applied the varnish in several stages — it turned out to be an interesting technique and an unusual result.
