För åldersgruppen 33-44 år är siffran hela 93%. Det är tydlig data som visar att dina potentiella kunder gör sin research.

A lot of local work comes from referrals, but most businesses leave these completely to chance.

You've already built trust with past customers, so why not actively encourage referrals from them? I'm not talking about doing this manually or asking every client after a finished job—that can come off as a little bit cringe.

But if you have an automated system that handles this for you, sending out emails and texts with real incentives, it becomes much more effective. An automated referral system means happy clients bring new clients consistently, which means more work without paying for ads.

It's about turning past customers into new jobs without the awkward ask.

If calls go unanswered or messages don't get replies quickly, that marketing money is basically thrown away. You can drive all the traffic you want, but more traffic only matters if you can actually capture and convert it.

This is one of the easiest ways to increase your monthly revenue: ensure you take care of all the incoming calls you're getting. Here's something that surprised me when I learned it: the average customer takes seven to nine touch points to convert. That means seven to nine attempts to connect with them before they become a sale.

Touch points are basically outreaches, attempts to connect with a lead. Most business owners make contact once, maybe twice, and then give up. But the data shows that conversions happen much later in the follow-up process.

This is why having a system that follows up consistently over time in the right way is so critical. You can't rely on remembering to reach out manually. You can't expect yourself to stay on top of every lead while you're also trying to run jobs and deliver great service.
