✺We’re super happy that Agnes has recently joined us as our new intern!✺

She’ll spend the next two months diving into the world of VFX and Virtual Production learning and growing together with our team.

After working as a museum pedagogue and guide, she’s now returning to her other great passion: VFX.

⋆ Throwback Time⋆
It’s already been over a year since Ondskan (Evil) premiered!
Based on Jan Guillou’s classic novel, the series dives into themes of violence, control, and resistance at a Swedish boarding school.

Our team worked on visual effects that subtly built the atmosphere.

The series was produced by SF Studios for C More/TV4, directed by Erik Leijonborg and Daniel Di Grado, with an incredible cast led by Isac Calmroth, Gustaf Skarsgård and Thea Sofie Loch Næss.

Flashback to one of our favourite projects!
Last year, we collaborated with Paradox Interactive on the Crusader Kings III: Roads to Power expansion.

For the launch, we produced three trailers, each capturing a different facet of the expansion’s rich storytelling. Today we’re sharing a breakdown video, showing how our team combined hand-drawn art, 3D, animation, and VFX to bring this epic strategy game to life.

New team member alert!
We’re glad to officially welcome Blanka Bodor as our Project Manager & Junior 3D Artist at Istudios Visuals!

Blanka studied Motion Design at Hyper Island in Karlskrona and joined us in January after her internship. Since then, she has already contributed to several projects in the Virtual Production Studio.

We’re so happy to have you on board, Blanka!

The spooky season is getting closer… and Hemmet (The Home) is coming to Swedish cinemas on October 29.
Based on Mats Strandberg’s chilling novel, the story follows Joel as he places his mother in a nursing home but something sinister lurks in the dark.

We at Istudios are proud to have created VFX for several of the eerie moments in the film.

We’re proud to announce that Egghead Republic will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 4. The film is written and directed by Hugo Lilja and Pella Kågerman. Together with Arild Andersson, we had the privilege of working on the sometimes massive VFX.
Set in an alternative reality where the Cold War never ended and Soviet Kazakhstan has been struck by an atomic bomb, the film is a thrilling and thought-provoking journey. It’s been an honor to be part of this project, and we’re excited to see how it will be received by the audience. Watch a clip from the movie here:

New team member alert!
We’re excited to officially welcome Jack as our new VFX Artist at Istudios! Jack studied at Xenter Stockholm and have joined us as an intern last year. He’s now part of the team full time since January. We’re so happy to have him on board!
