Moving from a house to a one-room apartment as a 37-year-old comes with some challenges. There’s a lot to fit on my 31 square meters, and it has to work for both Molly and I. 🐈
As a content creator, working 95% from my home, I start with my desk setup, and then plan the rest of the apartment around that.
(This is why the table top and the drawers are the only furniture I kept from the house.)
I could have gotten a bigger apartment, but the priority for me at this stage of my life was to raise my living standard by getting a newer apartment in a bigger city. I acknowledge that I’m not where I want to be in life financially, so I can either accept that or be humble enough to scale down the space I have, for a couple of years, to work myself out of this.
I believed that the best way to do this was to move back to Stockholm, where I could surround myself with like-minded, ambitious people, have a smaller but more modern home, and reduce my responsibilities by renting and having big stores and subway stations around the corner so that I don’t need a car.
Streamlining the way I live and optimizing my home, step by step, will help me focus more on my business, create more content, create better content, build up savings, invest in myself and my business, and keep moving towards my vision.
I’m determined to make this my best, coziest, most functional home so far, and I want to take you with me in this process.
I wanna build a life I love and invest in things and services that will move me closer to my goal!
