While the world’s biggest nations are headed to the moon, this project set out to hit the brakes and shift focus back to what’s in front of us: untapped energy enabled by new technology.

To do so, we brought together three partners — bearing maker SKF, ocean energy developer Minesto, and Faroese state energy company SEV — and had them join the space race by launching their own space program. However, this space program never leaves Earth. Instead, it generates moon energy from Earth, by capturing tidal power that’s generated by the moon’s gravitational pull.

In other words: T-minus never.

When Way Out West sold out record early, we turned the classic FOMO-phrase “I’d give my kidney for a ticket” into action. Introducing The Kidney Pass: festivalgoers who signed up to Sweden’s organ donation registry, which allows organs to be used for donation after death, got the chance to win a 3-day pass. In just days, the campaign drove thousands of new registrations, and gained global media attention while raising awareness for organ donation.
