In 2022 VELUX together with SDL brought new life and an expanding vision to the award-winning Daylight and Architecture magazine, reviving it for the digital age. Daylight Matters is the printed embodiment of this revived D/A, created for students, teachers, and architects to inspire and celebrate daylight in architecture.

This first issue is curated to give an insight into the inspiring content that makes up the D/A universe and not least celebrate the visual delight of daylight in architecture through breathtaking photography. The contributions come from a range of architects, writers, photographers, and designers working at the forefront of their chosen field.

Opening; Digital Concept Artist / 3D

Stockholm Design Lab is now looking for a digital concept artist
to support the creation of ideas for our most ambitious and forward-thinking clients. The ideal candidate has experience and ease of use with 3D software programs and other digital tools to rapid prototype,
conceptualise and visualise new realities.

Main responsibilities as a digital/3D concept artist:
—Create mockups of physical environments, architecture and buildings, vehicles and props,
packaging concepts, product design, style frames and final concept art.
—Use technological approaches to create designs in 2D and 3D.

Digital Designer opening!

As a Digital Designer at SDL you should be able demonstrate experience in digital methodologies and processes, from concept to wire-framing and prototyping, as well as executing pixel-perfect designs that speak to the strategic and creative direction. You work both independently and as part of teams and demonstrate a great understanding of the design language and media requirements, having advanced technical and troubleshooting skills. And above all, you are dedicated to delivering quality design craftsmanship with attention to detail.

HOME.S.
An exclusive series of concerts featuring previously unheard music by Esbjörn Svensson 
15, 16, 17, 18 September 2022.

Esbjörn Svensson was one of Sweden’s most successful and influential jazz musicians and composers. After his death, music he had recorded in his home studio during the spring of 2008, mere months before the accident that tragically took his life, was discovered; 9 solo pieces for piano, recorded at a quality good enough for an official release.

HOME.S. is a four-stage project, of which the concerts constitute the first stage. Esbjörn’s first and only solo album, HOME.S. is scheduled for a November 2022 release in collaboration with ACT Music.
