🔔 Important Update for Property Agents in Singapore
On 13 February 2026, the Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (SIEA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Singapore's Big Five property agencies — PropNex, ERA, Huttons, OrangeTee & Tie, and SRI.
Here's what changed:
📌 Property flyers distributed to HDB homes must not be visible to the public.
This means no more flyers sticking out of gate grilles, propped on doors, or left on stairwell ledges.
✅ Flyers must be slotted inside the gate or placed directly into the letterbox, out of public sight.
⚠️ The penalties are real:
→ 1st offence: Letter of caution
→ 2nd offence: Caution + mandatory ethics course
→ 3rd offence: Six-month suspension
🏢 Not a property agent?
Good news, we have not received any notice that these rules apply to other industries. F&B, retail, tuition, home services, and all other businesses can continue their flyer campaigns as normal.
