These pictures don’t do justice to this yummy daifuku. The smooth outer skin was chewy and soft while the black sesame filling oozes with fragrance. You can taste the roasted aroma of these black sesames before they were made into a paste. Simply Oishii!
𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝘿𝙖𝙞𝙛𝙪𝙠𝙪 ($2.20)
This soft rounded ball springs back when you cut into them. The matcha was sweet but not too cloying. The strong matcha scent lingers on with every bite, and tastes heavenly with the glutinous rice cake.
Both Daifuku are filled generously, with the fresh cream center that gives you the rounded taste that lingers~ Definitely getting other flavours to try!

We have heard and seen of Iberico pork, Kurobuta pork in supermarkets and restaurants but Yongenton pork? A quick google result showed that these Yongenton breeds are raised in a stress-free environment (we need that!) and are a cross-breed of Chester White and other breeds that give Yongenton pork the beautiful marbling of tender fat and delicate sweetness. Sounds great right!
And so, we have to try this awesome dish available on menu. With every mouthful of the rice, the pork slices were simply delicious. We probably have tasted those heavily seasoned dishes, that practically cover whatever sweetness the meat brings, but not this dish.
The seasoning enhances the natural sweetness of the Yongenton pork, and was oh-so-tender and juicy! OMG~

Using Hokkaido yongenton pork, this dish really is delicious 😋 You can practically feel the char-grilled bites on the pork slices. Each slice was soft and tender and had the right amount of seasoning. The sesame sprinkles gave a little crunch with every bite. The moment the bowl was served, you can get a whiff of truffle. And, you get real truffle slices!! 🔥
𝙍𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡 ($13.90)
This rice bowl was so good that I literally wolfed down the entire bowl. Similar to the Hokkaido Pork Bowl, the beef slices was tender and juicy. I always felt that onsen egg goes well with anything, and true that, the creamy egg blends so well with the multi-grain rice, and tender beef. OMG!
⭐️ Best of all, you can choose your bowl type >> 16-multi-grain rice, salad, or rice+salad. How great is that! Feeling healthy~

Been craving for Okonomiyaki for awhile and at last! Finally, we are able to dine out!
Seiwaa Okonomiyaki & Teppanyaki Restaurant is located along the busy streets of Little India. Popular with the expat community and locals, I was surprised at the crowd on a weekday lunch! Their cozy ambience and family-friendly service definitely wooed me to come back again!
Boasting their own DIY Okonomiyaki, each table at Seiwaa is equipped with your very own personal hotplate. If you're up to the challenge, you can DIY your own or get the Teppanyaki Chef to help you along! 😆

For the love of matcha, I want another slice please! This pretty matcha cake has all the layers fit for a true matcha lover. You get the soft matcha chiffon, light matcha mousse, rich matcha ganache, topped with matcha powder and Chantilly cream for that added flavour! The strong matcha has a pleasant sweetness that makes you wanting more.
𝙂𝙤𝙢𝙖 x 𝙋𝘽 ($8.50)
The first thought I had was sesame and peanut butter? But no doubt this tastes as good as it looks! Our fellow colleague and pastry chef herself, reviewed “this tart conveyed the taste of sesame elegantly - from the hands of a seasoned pastry chef”.

Our favorite of the three. We were surprised by its combination. The sweet-tart was a perfect match for the aroma of the hojicha and the bitterness of the coffee; well balanced would be the word to describe it.
