If your brand isn’t top of mind i.e. Page 1 of your customer’s mind, you’re basically not in the search results.
(Be real: When was the last time you went to Page 2 of search?)
The truth: People don’t remember every option.
They remember the few that show up first when a problem/need appears. So the job isn’t just visibility. It’s recall.
1. Keep showing up with the same core idea.
Pick one thing you want to be known for and repeat it everywhere. If you’re a healthy snack brand, keep reinforcing “clean snacks for 3pm crashes.” Put it on packaging, your bio, your emails, and your posts. Over time, people connect you to that exact moment.
2. Link your brand to one clear situation.
Choose when you want to be remembered. For example, if you sell a meal kit, create content around “what to cook when you’re too tired to think.” Post quick dinner saves, late-evening reminders, and simple recipes. Now when someone is exhausted at 7pm, your brand shows up in their head.
3. Have a clear point of view.
Don’t sound like every other brand. If you’re in skincare, instead of “gentle and effective,” say “skincare for people who hate 10-step routines.” Show this through your packaging, reels, and product pages. A distinct angle shown often is easier to recall.
BONUS (but essential, really)
Keep appearing in low-stakes moments. Not just when you’re selling. When you teach, share, or simplify something useful, you create mental shortcuts.
Shortcuts become defaults soon enough.
