To every biz owner/marketer, let's face it
It's unlikely that you have something super unique — something that's brand new and innovative
Not everyone is building the next Apple or Facebook and that's perfectly fine!
It doesn't mean you shouldn't be in business
It doesn't mean you don't have anything valuable to bring to the market
It doesn't mean you can't add value to people's lives still
But with that said,
The problem stands:
How do you sell your product/service in a red ocean market filled with competitors and skeptical prospects? 🦈🩸
This post will show you how…
1. Read $100m Offers by Alex Hormozi
This is so you can craft a super-comprehensive offer
An offer so good and compelling to your prospects because you deeply understand what they are looking for (wants and needs).
In case you don't know what an offer is it's defined as
"a combination of factors such as the product itself, the cost per unit, trial period, terms, optional features, guarantee, incentives, future obligations, time or quantity limit, shipping, and handling, etc."
2. Study your process (and uncover your unique mechanism)
The unique mechanism is your competitive advantage
To find what it is, look at how you create/deliver your product/service (the process)
Then ask yourself "why did you do it in such a way?"
And "how does doing it in THAT PARTICULAR MANNER produce better results for the prospect?"
That process IS your unique mechanism
3. Promote your offer and justify it with your unique mechanism
Start marketing your offer by putting it in front of others
But don’t forget to include the unique mechanism
Your marketing message has one crucial objective and it's to make your prospects buy into the idea that your offer is different/better BECAUSE OF your unique mechanism
And to establish also that you’re the only one who can provide this unique mechanism — no one else
This is how you pe*****te a competitive and sophisticated market (a market where they’ve heard all the claims and seen all the ads)
Some examples of unique mechanisms:
- Alvin Poh's 5E Scale Engine https://superscaling.com/
- Peng Joon's Content Multiplier Formula https://contentmultiplierformula.com/
- Motion App https://www.usemotion.com/
- Kenneth Yu's Holy Grail Copywriting - https://www.attentionempire.com/knights
Tip:
Rare, but there are times when you have nothing unique about your process
In such a case look at the parts in your process that your competitors aren’t talking about
A perfect example can be seen from the show Madmen when Don Draper did it for “Lucky Strike”
