I wrapped up 2021 with a sumptuous dinner on the eve of NYE with these ladies who made my work life in BTG a little bit more exciting and bearable back in the day.

The dinner was great but it can't beat the company I got from these two beauties who constantly reminded me how pertinent it is to have colleagues whom you can click with. Many years down the road, I am glad to know our work relationship has translated in an enduring friendship that far surpassed our stint in the company ☺️

Thank you for your time and great company Madeline and Mun Yee! Looking forward to our next dinner date in February 💜

Exactly 3 months ago at this hour when I was about to gown up for shift in 696, I got the dreaded call from Barkway that Jerome did not make it through the night. I remembered bursting out crying with Dr Teng on the other line,

I remembered bawling my eyes out and calling the husband and sister Aza cause I didn't know what to do next. I remembered calling Ustaz Hafiz to arrange for a funeral for my dearly beloved love of my life. I called and was silent for a bit and told Ustaz I didn't know how to ask him for help for Jerome's last rites. First time, troubling times, scary times.

I didn't know how I gathered the strength to call and make the arrangements, observe the teams for their first shift of donning and calmly walking over to my SM's office to take an extended lunch break to settle Jerome. Then I spent two supremely short hours with Jerome before Ustaz Hafiz's team took him away for burial.

I remembered seeing the whole Barkway team bawling their eyes out. I remembered settling the final payment for his vet treatment and taking a grab back to 696 with an empty carrier. I remembered resuming my second half of my shift with my whole team saying I should take the rest of the day off. I know if I did, I would have fallen apart.

So in summary, a loss does change you. Even now. Grief is a nasty bitch but everyday I seek comfort in the memories I shared with him even though it was grossly too short. I remain eternally grateful for the life-changing experience and I know this sort of love is once in a lifetime. I love you and miss you everyday my chubby cakes, see you when I see you. 💜

One for the road 🙂 So yesterday marked my 345th shift as a Procedural Supervisor and it was also my last. SwabOps has been nothing but an eye-opening experience from the get-go. From not knowing what the hell was the Covid-19 virus in 06/2019 to learning to live with it everyday now like it is a common flu.

I will never take for granted the honor I had working with some of the brightest and greatest minds who came together as a unit to serve the nation in every way that we can.

I will always remember nagging at the staff to don and doff their yellow and blue PPEs properly and how sometimes when I go home I think I am such a nag, HAHA.

I will hold the memories amassed and friendships I have gained over the two years of being with HPB close as I embark on my next journey.

SwabOps taught me how to be more human than everand also how to build a stronger character amidst a chaotic and an extremely fast-paced lifestyle. Hours were a good mix of short shifts and super-duper long hours from before the sun rises till past the sun sets but I will never trade these experiences for anything else in the world.

To my fellow comrades who are still at it and fighting, may you always be safe and protected and may you all continue to fly the IPC flag high. To those embarking on a new pathway post SwabOps, my heart wishes you nothing but the best.

Day 61: Hello Chubs, it has been sixty-one days of missing you my dearest chubbycakes but it feels like I've missed you far longer. I longed for the day I can see you and give you chinrubs and head scratches all day and night like this. IMYSM and ILYSM dearest love of my life. See you when I cross the rainbow bridge and find you some day 💝

A throwback to one of the best steaks we both ever had for lunch. It was also a part of our week-long staycation holiday. 😏 We started the day ordering in an Asian breakfast with Kopi & Tarts and went all big at lunch at Picanhas'. Such a beautiful setting with lush lighting and a limited seating capacity so that keeps the whole place immensely mysterious yet exciting at the same time.

I had a go at the Queen Steak while the husband had his first try eating Tajima Steak with a marble score of 7/8. Will we we back? Def. Hands down. No doubt. Definitely one of the best places to have a slab of meat served with a simple and clean-cut menu that narrows down to only two dishes to pick from. And oh, 💯 fantastic service from the crew too. @ Picanhas'

Seems like the agenda for this staycation is mainly to shop, dine and sleep a lot but I'm not complaining since I've got you all to myself even for just under a week 🙆Happy 2.5 Year Wedding Anniversary to my husband who is blossoming as we age 😏

A massive major throwback to the USS trip I had with the T4 buddies. For this trip, we had a good mix of SAs, SWs, PSes, SSes, SMs and even AAs from swabops!

Who knew that fast forward to December 2020, I'll actually reunite with them and work with them all over again? T4 was where I met a great bunch of friends from swabops and I'm thankful everyday to have been given the opportunity to meet and know these folks better everyday. @ Universal Studios Singapore

👴🏾 👵🏾 So we at ELZ Consultancy has been on an unintended month of hiatus. Unintended because we figured we have all things right on track but sometimes when you run a few businesses, good timing is crucial. It is the highly-sought-after commodity that you learn to trade certain items in exchange for more time.

That was what we did. We took time off social media 📱 to focus on our clients and putting through a higher quality work that we do. Although we miss sharing on our socials what we have been up to or what posts we would love to share with you, our followers, we have realised that investing in what we have now is more important as to sharing a post on FB that may or may not be useful for our current or prospective clients.

So there may be long absence in between our posts for the meanwhile but know that we are learning 🤹‍♂️ to prioritise our 10001 things that need to be done so that our socials can come back alive real soon.

In the meanwhile, stay tuned for more exciting stories since we have been off FB/IG coming through real soon!
