Local actor Ryan Lian has had a turbulent period in the public eye over the past two years.

In September 2024, he was arrested under the Mental Health Act after he was caught on video allegedly tampering with the digital door lock of an HDB flat. Just two months later, on Nov 22, 2024, Lian was allegedly stabbed at least three times in the face by 21-year-old Aaron Samuel Yukon following a dispute outside Nex mall.

Despite the incidents, Ryan has continued producing his trademark humorous skits over the past year. On Feb 14, 2026, he released a new skit that marks a shift in tone. While he remains passionate about entertaining his audience, this latest production explores a more serious theme and showcases his growing confidence and ability behind the camera as a director.
