Cannoli (Vinny’s Cat) Black and White Lithophane 🐾

One fascinating aspect of 3D printing is creating lithophanes. It’s a delicate process that demands precise calibration; any slight deviation can mar the quality of the final piece. After all, nobody wants their beloved pet’s face to look distorted, right?

In loving memory of ’s cat, Cannoli, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. I had the privilege of meeting Cannoli during my visit to San Diego last year, though he was ailing at the time. To honor his memory, I decided to craft this lithophane as a heartfelt keepsake.

Initially, I attempted a color lithophane, but Cannoli’s dark features posed a challenge, resulting in what appeared like a void in his face. Switching to the original black and white lithophane proved to be a more fitting tribute, capturing his essence beautifully.

Rest in peace, dear Cannoli.
