A dad said he had to rush from the viewing area and jump into the pool himself after his 3-year-old son slipped into deeper water during a swimming lesson. The part that stayed with the family afterwards? His little boy reportedly kept asking, “Why didn’t the teacher save me?” 💔

The swim school has suspended the instructor as a precaution and is reviewing its supervision and safety procedures. It said police reviewed the matter and took no further action.

When little Reese started choking, her parents stayed calm and acted quickly using choking first aid they had learned beforehand. Her mum, a former flight attendant trained in first aid, had taught her husband what to do after Reese was born and in that moment, it made all the difference.

A powerful reminder for every parent: you may never need to use first aid, but knowing it could save a life.
