Project Commit Episode 1.

Is feeling lost really about failing… or trying to do too many things at once?

Most businesses do not collapse from lack of opportunity. They collapse from lack of focus.

I walked away from a 7-figure business model to start anew. And rebuilt with one rule: commit to one path.

You're welcome to follow along the journey.

Something I keep seeing in the financial advisory industry bothers me.

Financial advisors who are genuinely good at what they do, knowledgeable, caring, competent, still struggling to get clients to trust them. Still feeling like they have to push, persuade, follow up one too many times.

I don't think that's a skill problem. I think it's a positioning problem.

The industry has trained advisors to sell. To close. To hit numbers. And so that's the energy clients feel when they walk into a seminar or pick up the phone... they sense the agenda before you even open your mouth. It poisons everything, even when your intentions are completely genuine.

When my business partner and I left our holding company, we chose to build differently. Not helping agencies sell harder but helping them become the most trusted voice in the room.

The way we do that is through education events. Designed not to pitch, but to genuinely shift how an audience thinks. When that happens, clients come in curious instead of guarded. They ask to work with you instead of waiting to be convinced.

We're building what we believe will be Singapore's leading education studio for financial advisory firms.

If you're tired of being lumped in with every other advisor and want to understand how education-led events work as a business system, book a 30-minute call with me.

Baby Tams would be so proud 👶🏽

Some days I feel like I'm just surviving & I forget that what I've built isn't insignificant

A team that trusts me, clients that choose us, systems that work, that allow us to scale results that matter to us

& today we're hitting milestones we only dreamed of before.

Still growing, and still learning.

I used to believe momentum meant progress.
Then I realised most “moving fast” is just a distraction.
Real growth happens when you pause, reflect, and question what truly matters.

It’s the hard work no one notices...
protecting your team,
refining your approach,
and investing in clarity that won’t pay off immediately.

Slowing down doesn’t feel like progress.
But it’s in that quiet space where the foundation gets strong, your thinking sharpens, and the right opportunities naturally appear.

And I also realize that the secret isn’t in speed but in purpose, patience, and intention.

💬 When did you realise rushing wasn’t helping you?

27/01/2026

I reached a point where moving fast no longer felt like progress. It just felt loud. When you build long enough, you start to notice a pattern. Trends move quickly. Tactics expire. What worked last year suddenly feels empty. I realised I could keep chasing momentum, or I could slow down and rebuild something that actually meant something to me.

That choice was uncomfortable. It required protecting people, questioning old models, and trusting that clarity and education would compound even when results were not immediate. What surprised me most was that the work started to feel lighter once it became more intentional.

I realized the businesses that last are rarely the ones that move the fastest. They are the ones that know why they exist and are willing to build patiently around that truth. This is not the end of the story. It is the moment where the work finally started to feel honest.

Question: Have you ever had a moment where you realised speed was no longer the answer for you?

✨ Save this if you are choosing meaning over momentum.

The dark side of testing your limits, is the test you endure when you have to hold it out.

Last month tested that belief. Nothing felt certain, and comfort was always within reach. We stayed anyway.

Then the first signal appeared.

We’ve all built something we believed in… yet didn’t work.

Mine was a painful lesson where I ended up investing in the wrong plans that led to the closure of the company.

It was hard to reconcile the losses, but learning to let go was the biggest lesson I’ve learnt in this journey.
