How sustainable are Singaporeā€™s property prices really?

Property prices can only keep climbing when the economy and incomes keep up. Since 2023, SG property prices have moved almost in tandem with GDP growth and median wage growth ā€” which suggests prices arenā€™t completely detached from fundamentals.

Could uncertainty slow things down? Definitely. Economic risks may weigh on future performance.

But if history is any guide, Singaporeā€™s property market is still unlikely to see the kind of deep correction we saw during the 1998 Asian Financial Crisis.
