BledCom symposium is a traditional gathering of scholars and practitioners from all over the world who come together to explore and discuss on various themes and research in the field of public relations and related disciplines. It traditionally takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Bled on the first weekend in July. The character of BledCom symposia is a relaxing, pleasant and above all informal.

Important update regarding BledCom 2027!

Due to the unexpected unavailability of the Rikli Balance Hotel during our originally announced conference dates, BledCom 2027 will now take place on July 2–3, 2027.

Please update your calendars and save the new dates. We look forward to welcoming you to Bled for another inspiring edition of BledCom. ☺️

Day 2 of BledCom 2026 continued with thought-provoking discussions, inspiring research presentations, and engaging debates on the future of strategic communication. From ethics and disinformation to AI, crisis communication, and public sector relations, today's sessions once again highlighted the importance of connecting research with real-world practice.

The conference concluded with closing remarks, but the conversations continued into the evening over an unforgettable dinner at Gostilna Krištof, sharing ideas, strengthening friendships, and celebrating another successful edition of BledCom.

Thank you to all speakers, presenters, participants and partners for making this year's symposium such a memorable experience. See you again next year!

Looking back at Friday, which was undoubtedly one of the major highlights of this year's symposium!✨

We kicked off the day with an insightful intro by Prof. Dr. Dejan Verčič, Krishnamurthy Sriramesh and Ana Tkalac Verčič, setting the stage for a brilliant keynote presentation by global communication authority Dr. W. Timothy Coombs followed by a presentation by Prof. Anne Gregory.

We also had Interactive Session. Thank you all for stepping away from passive listening and turning the room into a vibrant space for open dialogue, case studies, and co-creating solutions.

And what a way to wrap up the day! The culinary pampering and relaxed networking dinner at Vila Podvin was the perfect finish to an intense, inspiring day. 🍽️🥂

Crises are no longer rare disruptions. They have become part of our everyday reality.

From devastating floods, wildfires, and armed conflicts to public health emergencies, cyber threats, disinformation, and the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, today’s world is shaped by constant uncertainty and change.

At BledCom 2026, we will explore how communication can help societies, organizations, and communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from crises. Together with scholars and practitioners from around the globe, we will discuss topics such as:

• communicating during disasters and extreme weather events,
• health crises, trust, and misinformation,
• crisis leadership and organizational resilience,
• cybersecurity and cyber crisis communication,
• AI, disinformation, and emerging communication risks,
• stakeholder trust, reputation, and legitimacy,
• crisis preparedness in public institutions and healthcare,
• lessons from recent crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and climate-related emergencies.

In times of uncertainty, communication is more than a response mechanism—it is a strategic resource for building resilience, trust, and collective action.
