➡️Let your audience know what to expect, offer sneak peeks, upcoming sales which will take place on the biggest retail day of the year.

➡️Try to build your offer for the big day around products that sell the most.

➡️Decide on your offer … this doesn’t only have to be discounts, you can create bundles, add rewards …

➡️Launching a new product? Set the countdown, limited time discount ...that’ll get them thinking about it.

➡️Ask yourself what copy you need. Social media posts? Emails? Blogs? Don’t do it at the last minute. Remember people review offers multiple times before they decide to buy them.

Are you unsure how to create RSA?

It’s old news by now that ETA’s are going to go at the end of June next year. So squeeze the most out of them while you can.

To prepare you for what's coming, let's see how to create RSA’s, so grab a pencil or better yet, create an RSA step by step right now.

➡️ Write engaging and genuine ad copy. Review cross-campaign asset reporting - it helps you understand which headlines/descriptions your audience is vibing to.

Deliver key messages to the appropriate audience. Use specific CTA’s. How can a user benefit from your product/service?

➡️ Showcase your brand, product, solution. Headlines are the first thing people see - make them impactful

The low CTR struggle

We’ve all been there. Trying to be seen in the flood of ads. And sometimes all it takes is to tweak your ads a bit.

➡️ By adding negative keywords, you can exclude search terms that are not relevant to your business, trim down on uninterested impressions, and therefore increase CTR. Your ad will show to users who are relevant.

➡️ Match types indicate how closely your keyword needs to match with the user’s search query in order for the ad to be considered in the auction. Choose wisely as it can impact your CTR and CPC.

➡️ A powerful and clear CTA can improve your CTR. Make sure to use action words like order, learn, buy that grabs users attention and ultimately take that action.

➡️ Including a question in your headline or primary text make users prone to engage with your ad.

➡️ The goal of FOMO is to create a sense of urgency or scarcity in order to convince users to take action.

➡️ Just like your titles, use an emotional hook, use your keyword in the META description, and stay within the character limits.

Are you losing customers over this?

➡️ “I can’t help you.”
This should be a no-brainer, but we’ve all been on the receiving end of this phrase with a customer service rep at one time or another.

➡️ “Let me check.”
“Let me check” is a vague phrase that leaves your customer in limbo. Be more specific.

➡️"I'm not sure, but I think..."
You won't know the answer to every situation, but you shouldn't tell the customer that. Let them know you'll look up some information and either put them on hold or offer to call them back in a few minutes.

➡️"I'll get back to you as soon as I can."
If you think about this from a customer perspective, it's easy to see why this is frustrating, as it leaves customers wondering what "soon" means--today? Tomorrow? A week from now? Be as specific as you can about your follow-up. If you don't know when the issue will be resolved, offer a call on a specific date to give an update on the situation.

➡️"Calm down."
This phrase elicits more anger than nearly any other. Let the customer vent, show empathy with phrases like "I see," and "I understand." Eventually, they'll calm down on their own, allowing you to move forward.

➡️“You’re mistaken.”
Saying this discounts customer’s feelings and makes them feel foolish, which may escalate the situation. Calmly help them with their issue and move forward--no matter how much you'd like to do otherwise. Remember the first rule of business “Customer is always right in the end.”

As of 30th June, 2022 Google Ads is terminating Expanded Text Ads.

After that date, you’ll only be able to create and edit Responsive Search Ads. So make the most out of ETA’s in the next 10 months.

What can you do?

To minimize any disruption, ensure you start testing with RSA in every ad group in your Search campaigns. That way you’ll be able to see the results of using RSA and apply changes after ETA’s are disbanded.

With RSA’s, you’ll give Google a range of headlines and descriptions and the algorithm will choose which ones to show in search results. Automation at its finest. But will it bring the same results?
