Our team participated in the meeting organised by the Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusiness Development (SLeCAD) Sierra Leone Chamber for Agribusines Development in partnership with African Union (AU) African Union , Donors and Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (MAFS) Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security on Wednesday, 23rd July, 2025.

The meeting was designed to discuss possible support to private sector like financing, inputs, trade and tech suppr to Agribusiness companies, Agri-Food SMEs & farmers.

🌱 Advancing Agriculture Through Innovation! 🚜📡

We are excited to share that the NGAO Agricultural Farm team recently completed a 3-months intensive agricultural skills training in:
• tractor operations,
• drone technology, and
• GPS mapping.

This transformative program, funded by the Project through the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and facilitated by , has equipped our team with cutting-edge skills to enhance precision farming and boost productivity.

At NGAO, we are committed to leveraging modern agricultural techniques to drive sustainable development and contribute to the big5 . This training marks a significant step toward our vision of empowering communities and revolutionizing agriculture.

A huge thank you to SLARIS, the Ministry & Min of agriculture for supporting this investment in the future of agriculture and young people!

Yesterday, we were happy to be part of the final and 3rd day validation workshop at the Family Kingdom Hall, in Freetown, which was organized by the SLARiS Project.

on this final day, an interim body was selected by formers from across the country to bring about the structures of an 'Agro Dealers Network' in Sierra Leone, an umbrella that will serve as the link between farmers, suppliers and the local market.

This body will transform the agenda of the agriculture sector, and the Ministers of Agriculture's effort in the country to bring about access to quality food stuffs, in both agricultural inputs and service providers nationwide under the agenda.

This harvest represents more than just a yield; it’s a testament to the resilience and hard work of our youthful team. It also contributes significantly to the local economy by providing jobs as part of the farming operations, and supporting women and youths in our community.

This crop might look like a fruit, but it’s actually the traditional ‘egusi’ seeds used to make the famous “egusi- soup”

It takes 2/3 weeks to decompose into the final product.
